I get why Trudy is crying. Marriage is wonderful but NOT easy. When I survived my first holiday as a married woman....I knew that I could stay married forever. Navigating your family and in- laws makes you know that this is REAL. You have to delicately balance the dynamics and having Maya honor his word and show up in Kenya meant the world to her. It was the confirmation that silenced the doubts and solidified the commitment to each other. Well done Wode Maya.

I could be wrong but they may require you to be physically present in kenya for about 3 or 6 months after which you are eligible for the passport as person married to a citizen. Look up how to get dual citizenship as a spouse to a kenyan.
