PALCAM Listeria Agar

Polymyxin acriflavine lithium chloride ceftazidime aesculin mannitol
PALCAM Listeria Agar is a differential and highly selective medium used for the isolation and detection of Listeria spp., particularly L. monocytogenes from food and clinical specimens.
The medium completely inhibits common food microflora due to the presence of lithium chloride, ceftazidime, polymyxin B and acriflavine hydrochloride.
Recognition of Listeria colonies is evident by the black discoloration of the medium due to esculin hydrolysis.
