I don't understand how Trent isn't committed if he decides to honour his contract he made with the club.
That's what commitment looks like: the two contracting parties make an agreement and both parties do what they agreed to do under that contract.
Trent staying for one more season is him honoring the agremeent he made with the club of playing for Liverpool FC until summer 2025
Him wanting to leave us for free is his right, and it's also our right to bench him for a year. Flog him for 30 million to Real, we won't get more - blame FSG for that.. Real have a new strategy, tap players up and tell them to run down their deal and join years later on a free. Do what Lille did with Yoro. Trent wants to leave, ok. But this is business and we need to think about our future, not Trent's future.

The fact you shun the owners constantly but they pretty much saved the club is the kind of fickle attitude you normally criticise . As a club and an organisation were in a better place now than we have been since the golden era of Liverpool.
Did any club consult their fans about the super league? Does any billion pound organisation ever consult their fans about things like that? No to both, but FSG are somehow the bad guys?
We have a world class training facility we didn't have when they came, an improved stadium with extra capacity, 1 premier league title ( the first since in 20 years) and a Champions league cup among plenty of other accolades and benefits they have brought to the club. As far as football owners go we're pretty damn lucky. What you're hoping for is to be the plaything of some oil prince to pump it full of cash, as a Liverpudlian and life long fan of the club I would argue its not our way.
