I d guess they changed the style from the "typical" MV neon to a more movie like look to put more meaning into the break from a descent into madness in the first half (because the boy didn't response to her call) to a more dreamlike wish fullfillment in the second half. They literally threw a concert in front of the boys house.
im so happy youre reacting to this, i love the BTS reactions but Itzy are so so worth checking out. all their MVs are amazing, especially if youre familiar with girl group vsboy group style MVs, they tend to add a lot of new or subversive elements to theirs to kind of break that distinction. And theyve been able to build a rly specific, consistent style for themselves. There’s a reason they’re the biggest 4th generation group in the industry right now 🤩

JYP entertainment recently always do transisition like this in thier idol MV, look at stray kids MV for exemple.
They are brand global spokesmodels of Maybelline so they added lipsticks in their MV
