@@JozefonBlitz Oh be quiet. If you want to play that game, half of the songs on Incesticide are recorded by Ted Ed Fred, not Nirvana. The track listing on this compilation literally says NIRVANA. They signed to Sub Pop as NIRVANA.
Dark Vinnie no there’s obvious different versions including the Fecal Matter one but I like this one from the production quality and his screaming/singing and emotion he puts into the song
It's also one of the first ever. Sad to think about. You could say KDC kept going downhill, from this into an imaginative but angsty raw punk/grunge album, then a slightly more mainstream one full of nihilism and sadness, then one that was like a combination of those two but even darker and crazier. Then, as a song from that last album said, "look on the bright side, suicide."
Because Nirvana had soooo many songs that were unreleased, that you could only find on bootlegged albums with recordings from basement studio sessions or live concerts, which meant that fans could keep discovering cool Nirvana tracks for a long time!
It's hard for me to explain how much I love this song. It's so good and I like everything about it. Kurt's voice is awesome, the guitar solo is amazing, the bass sound's pure and beautiful, the lyrics are great too. Everything is just so incredible!
It was originally recorded in 1985 on the Fecal Matter tape. He was coughs throughout the song and almost sings it as if in parody. It’s fantastic. This version was about 2 1/2 years later, and undoubtedly is much cleaner. The: “Why is that so groovy?!” At the end of the original demo really cements the greatness of both the song and that of Kurt.
Sooo glad I saw Nirvana in the early days when I stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA in my early 20s!!! What a time to be alive! R.I.P. Kurt! You were AWESOME!!!
Damn... 8 years ago I guess... I heard this song for first and I guess last time, or maybe seven. God knows. And yeah, it still managed to be that catchy chorus in my head for all those years. Crazy.

Jack Endino is the one doing the background vocals on the first verse! I still think the version recorded on Jan 23rd 1988 was a better version though. I think Kurts vocals sounded better on that demo session. I must admit i wasn't as into the Fecal Matter recording done in 1985 of this song.
