Ohhh, my goodness, it's pure magic! I have no decorations out because my home is an absolute cluttered meal. I have 4 cats, one who is VERY naughty and will ruin anything I try to do. Watching this has got me motivated to begin cleansing, organising and decorating for the new season. I'll need to switch out all my Mabon/Samhain decor for my Yule/Christmas things. This is going to involve a trip to the local woods and some kitchen magic- perhaps a festive simmer pot. I already have blackberry vodka (made with foraged berries), Yuletide spiced whiskey and pear and cinnamon brandy infusing in the pantry. I love the smells of this time of year

Haha, the cat my parents had when i was growing up used to climb the tree and knock it over. My dad ended up putting a hook in the wall to secure the tree so she couldn't knock it down anymore. That hook was still in the wall when i moved out lol

I have a 62 year old Christmas tree which over the years has lost all its green spines and become more of a stick tree. I love nature and feel very inspired by your natural home made decorations and greenery, so will decorate my stick tree with orange slices cranberry garlands and pine cones this year, along with anything evergreen I may find. The suggestion i had is to consider getting a live tree in a pot, for next year. We had a lovely pine tree one year from a tree nursery, and then planted it in the forest after yule. It isboth a way to be sustainable, give back to our environment, and enjoy a real tree in our home. And finally, my question is about fashion: where did you purchase that sweet tartan frock? Looks amazing and reminds me of my winter decorations. Since my husband wants to have the lights up during the whole dark time ot the year, I do not decorate for christmas any more, but for winter. So I use a lot of trees, deer, birds and houses as well as antique ski, ice skates and a wooden sledge. And of course lots of lights. Even our christmas wreath with the 4 candles (one for each Advent Sunday) has a lot of birds on it. So no need to take the decoraton down after the holidays. 😁 I love your idea, to incorporate your christmas tree from last year into your decor. I live in a small apartment and I have a small (fake) tree in my bedroom. I decorated with a lot of on-hand items and natural pieces as well. Dried flowers, little glass jars with nature in it, some painted and made items and some ribbons and faery lights. I was in a high control group for several years and missed out on the beautiful tradition of seasonal decorating. Once upon a time when I had only one cat, (who still climbed and chewed the tree and ornaments) I had a tree in every room where each of them had a theme. Many years later and many cats later (currently 6, all indoor ones!) we only have one Yule tree in my Zen room hidden from 5 of my 6 kitties. Your “forest” is very pretty, Alwyn ♥️

I live in a small apartment and I have a small (fake) tree in my bedroom. I decorated with a lot of on-hand items and natural pieces as well. Dried flowers, little glass jars with nature in it, some painted and made items and some ribbons and faery lights. I was in a high control group for several years and missed out on the beautiful tradition of seasonal decorating. THANK YOU for your incredible decorating abilities, your inspiration and your love & joy. I haven't been watching videos for a while, and I was so happy to come back and see your Yule video. So many great ideas for making my space seasonal and cozy. Time to go collect a few things from the forest around me.
Once upon a time when I had only one cat, (who still climbed and chewed the tree and ornaments) I had a tree in every room where each of them had a theme. Many years later and many cats later (currently 6, all indoor ones!) we only have one Yule tree in my Zen room hidden from 5 of my 6 kitties. Your “forest” is very pretty, Alwyn ♥️
