I miss these days when Ronaldo used to run with the ball from the midfield and dribble 2.3.4 and score a goal. It was really a great season for someone who plays his first season with his new club.
As a Messi fan, i honestly think he deserved it to be at least in the top 3 for the Ballon d'or ranking that year. This was one of his five best seasons ever in my opinion.

Watching videos like this, I still don't understand how people say he couldn't dribble... he had so many solo runs, goals and crosses to the box. He was unstoppable then man! To me, always and forever the GOAT. I grew up watching him, no other player was as exciting!

Watching him here, he seems slower than the raw explosive pace he had at Man Utd. But he seems to have better control over the ball, more technical and his movement looks very well calculated. At Man Utd, he was just explosive, either dribbling or out-sprinting everyone.
This is the missing link for every Ronaldo best version with Real Madrid. I have no idea he was ever had this phase in RM shirt. Probably the best (dribbling) era of his. He even drive the ball like Mbappe in this year.
I actually think he looks a bit faster here. Probably his prime athleticism. Technique was always there.
