why the fuck was expelled Lacatus, since HE was the one injured ???

reaction foul not caught on camera but seen by the referee and everyone in the stadium...

@@aleeezena I don't understand. WHAT reaction ? In which moment exactly was this reaction (please indicate the minute and second here) ? And what exactly did he do so badly, being injured there on the ground ? And why directly RED, while his opponent received only YELLOW for such a hard foul from behind ?

    • @aleeezena

@@madalinfocsa During the replay of Torrente's foul on 'Fiara'. As for the fouls, the referee let all the fouls that are today penalized with a yellow card slide throughout the match. And he gave yellow cards for fouls that now would be red (e.g., Bortolazzi's foul at 10:57). It was a different kind of football. And if it hadn't been, Lacatus would have been expelled every match, he was famous for his continuous spitting and provocations. I don't know if you are Romanian and defending Lacatus (that Genoa beat both Dinamo and Steaua) or if you are a fan of Oviedo (for whom I personally have sympathy for how they welcomed us, and there were 5000 of us). Either way, that Genoa then went on to win 2-1 in Liverpool and was stopped in the semifinals by that Ajax who won that UEFA cup.
As for the foul, here I send you the opinion from a Romanian documentary that blames Lacatus and not the referee for the incident: th-cam.com/video/DlWKNZcS9U4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1IDkOEr6aUjlEWx4&t=4184

      @@aleeezena Thanx,
I know very well that Romanian documentary, it doesn't make light, I want to be able to judge myself.
I know Lacatus and his career very very well, believe me. He was indeed famous for putting soul in everything and making sometimes gestures not so fair-play, but this "continuous spitting and provocations" is an exageration. His opponents knew he is a reacting character, so they provoked him constantly - this was in fact a "duty" for all his opponents, especially when they had a wise coach. But for his team, his behaviour was often providential, because this "FIARA" thing had also a dressing room part, or a part that only his teammates received on the field: Lacatus was the best moral support and he encouraged his mates like no one else (at least between Romanian players). Oviedo just had that stupid bad-luck with this strange red card, which probably should have been yellow. Especially the teams where Lacatus played for long periods, can make this deposition that without his fighting character they would have never won so many matches. I think if it wasn't for this stupid moment, Lacatus could have become Oviedo's authoritarian leader, because after Oviedo he did so for all his second half of career. So he and Oviedo just had a crucial bad turning point in that match with Genoa, who indeed wouldn't have won this match without this red card.
So: you didn't answer my questions, please can you focus on my questions ? I really need to know what exactly and in what second happened there. I repeat: WHAT reaction did he had ? In which moment exactly was this reaction ? Please indicate the minute and second on this recording, even if the gesture is not filmed ! And what exactly did he do, can you describe ?

@@madalinfocsa At 1:06:52, Lacatus committed a foul on Aguilera while still receiving medical attention on the pitch, following a previous foul by Torrente, for which Torrente was yellow-carded. While on the ground and seemingly wasting time, Lacatus reacted with a violent kick towards Aguilera, earning a red card from the German referee. It is understandable that all Oviedo fans blamed him for their team's failure to qualify. Lacatus himself did not protest the red card, perhaps aware of the severity of his actions.
Genoa could have won anyway, as we were undoubtedly a stronger team than that Oviedo side, but Lacatus certainly played a significant role.
Despite this incident, Lacatus remains one of my favorite Romanian players, just after Hagi, Mutu, Petrescu and Dragusin.
      Bye
