Another excellent rundown. - Shieldguard has a passive. It cleanses a debuff every turn. I was using him in Mino15 for quite a bit. He held my fastest Campaign farming runs for a long time, too. He just lacks damage for the endgame. - Something is weird with the AI for Zephyr Sniper. The auto never uses her A2. Just got reminded of this during the recent Spider tourney. - Delajaa deserves a shout. Shielding heal. A1 poison. AE Atk reduction. Passive will counter when other lizards are attacked. - Hoforees the Tusked is a HIPPO. - I actually like Tolog as a healer over Hoforees, but the hippo is tougher. - Jakkarl and Drex'thar are both good and relatively easy to get. - Duedan's A1 removes DEbuffs. So, on all those counters, it cleanses the team. - I have yet to make Wyrennon shine. I have found that Tirlac + Treeshield makes Wyrennon superfluous. - My current SW team is Duedan, Daithi, Tirlac, and Treeshield at 60. The 5th spot is still in flux. Locwain, Riab, and Cormac are my top contenders. Riab's 2 star awakening (and full booking) has him in the lead. - Riab's Passive deals more damage to targets under DecDef and/or Weaken. His A2 applies those debuffs. He's no nuker, but he is a very good striker.
I used Scyl, Valla, and Zephyr Sniper as my barb FW 21 farm team before Armanz came out. My account was created when Valla was given for free, and she is very good in certain areas.
One you left out but I get why is skullsworn in lizardmen. To anybody who is lucky enough to pull a skull lord var-gall, campian farm skullsworn. You can get decent damage out of them and with the constant revives from skull lord he can take attention off of your other champs. He helped me to beat lizardmen without a reviver that way!
Might wanna check Treeshield Knott; he has a little something you overlooked. If you fully book him, he can shield the revived allies for 35% of their MAX HP.
Hey Ash I watch all your videos daily. The last few and this one have been great. Love the format and creativity. Last year or early this year you said you would do a lot less shard pulling videos. I was afraid you may start to upload less videos or less videos but you’re killing it with the original video ideas. Great 2024 so far and looking forward to continuing to tune in!

Hi Ash! I 50ed Chancellor Yasmin for Faction Wars after watching your video and she worked fine. Then I 60ed her a while ago because I use her in Cursed City quite often. "20% SPD AURA in all Battles" is valuable in Cursed City for middle gamers like me who don't have many other options.

Just tried canonness a few days and found out she is useful. Nothing could compare to the usefulness of pulling reliquary tender. I'm f2p so she helped changed a lot
I threw some mid tier gear on her just to get her to stop dying in the early stages to squeeze out some extra stars and her always crit skill whacked a guy for like 27k despite still being 4*

Dwarves have it so good now. I remember when Avir the Alchemist was exciting for another bit of healing and poison set was a thing on him. I used Dolor Lorekeeper back in the day xD He is a little underrated for a rare dwarf. People forget he has big continuous heal (2 turns) and block debuffs (1 turn) on a 4 turn cooldown. Not saying he is the most amazing, if it was 3 I think he'd be very good, but he is at least serviceable up to 50

Knights Revenant was my last faction to beat. Extremely hard with no Rector. Malkith wasn't in the game when I beat it. Also after the Cursed City was released, you might as well take all champs to level 60. You'll need them at some point.
Newer to the game about 6-7 months.. how do I know what to look for to build my champs.. which stats are priority to maximize skills or what gear to put on and or do you build hp champ with a lot of hp and defense champ with defense etc…

Ash, if had just 6 champions to do as much content as possible, who would they be? To do Hydra, Clan Boss, Dungeons, Arena, etc. Obviously excluding faction wars, cursed city, doom tower special rooms and such.
Great video Ash! Hopefully I'll be able to get Lydia one day, lol I was a couple stars way when they added sylvan watchers so now i just have to get enough champions from that faction. When you were talking about fun entertaining video ideas in the vein of the nuke-off, I also think it would be cool to see a series of two similar champions head to head. You could use them in different areas of the game and at the end give your take on who was better. I was thinking Dhukk The Pierced vs. Stag Knight or Neldor vs. Croidan, even royal guard vs. husk

I just got lydia after 4 years and I'm in love she's amazing wasn't a fan of the 15 books needed to book her, but it landed on a cvc with personal rewards so I can't complain to much
The only thing that is slowing me down is pvp man, I feel like all this players are trying so hard to stay in gold, without having their hall max out, can we all agree on just putting lv 1 champs on defense arena so we can all finish our hall? And ones u finish your hall u can put a good defence team. We as a community should do this so we can all progress and finish our great hall. Thank you

I confirm about Mithrala, it took me about 5 months to get her but it took me nearly one year to get Lydia. And I 36 starred Dark Elves FW with Mithrala and 4 rares (before I even got Visix); Kael (my starter), 2 Pain Keepers (built for my Budget Myth-Heir CB Team) and 1 Coldheart.
Skeuramis; I brought him up to 50 before the first vid I ever saw you make of him. After I saw it about idk a yr or so ago I fully booked him and didn't take him to 60 right away bc hes HP based and was crushing it even at 50 anyway. Finally took him to 60 and just to multiply his awesomeness I built another to 50 lol. Those two in relentless with retaliation on top are so frickin' brutal hahahaha. It's madness bc they just keep going. Also I wanna shout out to Andryssia. She's a total beefcake boss
I know the feeling! Demonspawn is my weakest faction, and it really shows in FW with a paltry 44 stars. I ended up using two Tirlacs in the team to finish Sylvan Watchers. He’s a surprisingly good rare, especially if you get a high enough blessing to buff up his stats.
You don't have a specialty, but your relatable whether you spend or not. Some of the other content creators are hard to relate to with their min/max or robust strategies. I enjoy your content and you have helped me a ton. Much love keep grinding brother.

Thanks for this! I have five crypts where I only need to three star that last level, four where it’s those last two levels, and my very sad Demonspawn crypt that clearly reflects how few good Demonspawn I have, and how little I’ve invested in them.
Thanks for the video Ash. Will see if I can use any of them to finish my factions. I've got undead horde, dark elves and demonspawn last stage left to go. Undead horde and dark elves I should beat when they come around, but demonspawn I'm finding so difficult. I have alure(x2), duhr, magnar(x2) tyrant, achak(x2) gorlos, souldrinker(x2) akoth and a few others. Yet somehow I can't find a way to pass it. I even used the free gear removal to give my gnut, ronda, rathalos etc gear to my champs and I'm barely doing any damage and have no control to survive the 2 counter attack waves.
Does it make sense to build 2 identical champs like valerie to get constant shield or wait until i pull a different champ? I am only like a month in and f2p but progressing quick with the few champs i have, only pulling during good events which always seem so far between 😅 Strat so far is focus / prep for legendary champ event and make as much progress elsewhere as possible. Havent made too many mistakes so far, lol
The 1st set of the Campaign is where you farm Valerie. Keep them all until your Guardians are filled up. Naturally, Conqueror and any other dupes along the way count for Faction Guardians, too. Then start feeding the dupes to 1 (your "main," if you will) in order to level up her skills. Getting her and a Conqueror to 40 and fully "booked" will help immensely. Valerie MUCH more than Conqueror. By that time you will have a few more options pulled. Is gearing up 2+ Valeries worth it? It can be. More likely, you are going to want a bit more damage. For damage, Armiger will actually edge out Valerie in most cases. For Heals, Commander is Campaign farmable (meaning you can run certain levels and leave your books to other champs). Commander is an Uncommon well worth taking to 50. By the time you kit out your 1st Valerie, you will probably have 2 Commanders, if you want. Outside of Faction Wars, pair Valerie with Warmaiden, Shieldguard, and your starter of choice. Focus on getting that team and whatever your 1st reviver is to 40 and then 50. This will give you a solid foundation for most areas of the game. Get a couple of 60's (like your Starter and Shieldguard) and the game starts to really open up. 1 tip - try to keep a copy of every champ you get. There are 2 Vaults that equate to cheaper storage for those you think you won't be actively using. I mostly use them for my Faction Guardians and the Uncommons that I like. You never know when a champ will be buffed or a new strat will change the game.
Ash, you are the Keanu Reeves of Raid, a prince among nerds with a heart of gold and arms made for holding up adoring fans who have fainted into your strong embrace...but please, for the love of sanity, it's Giscard the SYJALD (phonetically; English is a horrible language, I didn't make the rules). I know this because his name is a derivation of "sigil", meaning he's got them flashy icons sometimes called sigils. Love you, man. You rock.
The one thing I'll mention here is that most factions don't end on the red boss which is the one that ignores defense. Small thing, but that's also what makes certain factions easier to complete than others. I have lydia, but rarely miss an Ash video :)

Pulled a 6 star soul for frozen banshee today and looking for some advice. I'm a level 60 odd, hitting about 28m nightmare using a Kael for my poisons. Would I see a change in numbers swapping to frozen banshee? Or about the same? Any advice appreciated :)
Idea: In the same vein as the nuke-off videos, you could put champs who do other things against each other too. "Heal-Off" or "Passive Heal-Off." Scyl vs Vrask vs etc., for instance. Just a thought!

close to lydia, lizards, undead, demonspawn, orc, ogryn and watchers is all I need to compete and most just need one more champion built/geared to get me over the line.
A lot of my issues these days is the stage 20 triple Sethalia in that first wave. Edit: Sylvan Watchers were my first faction finished. The key to my finish 3* was Treeshield Knott.
Wait is it odd to get Mithrala before Lydia? I got Mithrala like a month ago but have only totally finished like 3 factions 😅. Im finally approaching a point where I might level people mostly for FW. I just finished an Iron Twins team this regear and have probably 3 key champs for hydra/FK hard progression in the pipeline... but then maybe can get around to leveling potentially useful champs that will mostly be featured in my FW teams (hi Helmut, Deacon, Achak, Seeker, Renegade, MM, Knott) Edit: after finishing the video need to add Tuhak (struggling to get past like 2nd wave on stage 20 bc i just have tanky bois like Artak and Togoar) to the list.
The only issue I have with Dhukk is that on the last boss that A1 bites me in the rear end. I get that decrease accuracy and the boss takes it off itself and puts it on my guys, and my champions cannot land their debuffs as well.

3:10 its not may, you will have mithrala before lydia if you are newer, getting the first chest on normal hydra is FAR more doable than having 5 good champs and 5 built champs for faction wars on every faction

i used felhound for that bombguy in doomtower. used the block damage before the bombs explode on my reviver, easy boss doggo helped me a lot back then

I've got undead horde, dark elves and demonspawn last stage left to go.
Undead horde and dark elves I should beat when they come around, but demonspawn I'm finding so difficult.
I have alure(x2), duhr, magnar(x2) tyrant, achak(x2) gorlos, souldrinker(x2) akoth and a few others. Yet somehow I can't find a way to pass it. I even used the free gear removal to give my gnut, ronda, rathalos etc gear to my champs and I'm barely doing any damage and have no control to survive the 2 counter attack waves.
Does it make sense to build 2 identical champs like valerie to get constant shield or wait until i pull a different champ?
I am only like a month in and f2p but progressing quick with the few champs i have, only pulling during good events which always seem so far between 😅
Strat so far is focus / prep for legendary champ event and make as much progress elsewhere as possible. Havent made too many mistakes so far, lol
The 1st set of the Campaign is where you farm Valerie. Keep them all until your Guardians are filled up. Naturally, Conqueror and any other dupes along the way count for Faction Guardians, too. Then start feeding the dupes to 1 (your "main," if you will) in order to level up her skills. Getting her and a Conqueror to 40 and fully "booked" will help immensely. Valerie MUCH more than Conqueror. By that time you will have a few more options pulled.
Is gearing up 2+ Valeries worth it? It can be. More likely, you are going to want a bit more damage. For damage, Armiger will actually edge out Valerie in most cases. For Heals, Commander is Campaign farmable (meaning you can run certain levels and leave your books to other champs). Commander is an Uncommon well worth taking to 50. By the time you kit out your 1st Valerie, you will probably have 2 Commanders, if you want.
Outside of Faction Wars, pair Valerie with Warmaiden, Shieldguard, and your starter of choice. Focus on getting that team and whatever your 1st reviver is to 40 and then 50. This will give you a solid foundation for most areas of the game. Get a couple of 60's (like your Starter and Shieldguard) and the game starts to really open up.
1 tip - try to keep a copy of every champ you get. There are 2 Vaults that equate to cheaper storage for those you think you won't be actively using. I mostly use them for my Faction Guardians and the Uncommons that I like. You never know when a champ will be buffed or a new strat will change the game.

I know this because his name is a derivation of "sigil", meaning he's got them flashy icons sometimes called sigils.

The one thing I'll mention here is that most factions don't end on the red boss which is the one that ignores defense. Small thing, but that's also what makes certain factions easier to complete than others. I have lydia, but rarely miss an Ash video :)

Pulled a 6 star soul for frozen banshee today and looking for some advice. I'm a level 60 odd, hitting about 28m nightmare using a Kael for my poisons. Would I see a change in numbers swapping to frozen banshee? Or about the same?

Idea: In the same vein as the nuke-off videos, you could put champs who do other things against each other too. "Heal-Off" or "Passive Heal-Off." Scyl vs Vrask vs etc., for instance. Just a thought!

close to lydia, lizards, undead, demonspawn, orc, ogryn and watchers is all I need to compete and most just need one more champion built/geared to get me over the line.
A lot of my issues these days is the stage 20 triple Sethalia in that first wave.
Edit: Sylvan Watchers were my first faction finished. The key to my finish 3* was Treeshield Knott.
I swear that stage is tougher to get past than 21.

Wait is it odd to get Mithrala before Lydia? I got Mithrala like a month ago but have only totally finished like 3 factions 😅.
Im finally approaching a point where I might level people mostly for FW. I just finished an Iron Twins team this regear and have probably 3 key champs for hydra/FK hard progression in the pipeline... but then maybe can get around to leveling potentially useful champs that will mostly be featured in my FW teams (hi Helmut, Deacon, Achak, Seeker, Renegade, MM, Knott)
Edit: after finishing the video need to add Tuhak (struggling to get past like 2nd wave on stage 20 bc i just have tanky bois like Artak and Togoar) to the list.
The only issue I have with Dhukk is that on the last boss that A1 bites me in the rear end. I get that decrease accuracy and the boss takes it off itself and puts it on my guys, and my champions cannot land their debuffs as well.

In the barbs you forgot yakarl from the clan shop. With scyl and yakarl it makes barb faction one of the easiest
I did all my Ogryn FW with 2x maneater, skullcrusher, wuzgar and shamrock. first 21 clear was over 20 minutes on auto xD

3:10 its not may, you will have mithrala before lydia if you are newer, getting the first chest on normal hydra is FAR more doable than having 5 good champs and 5 built champs for faction wars on every faction
I got mithrala 2 weeks ago and I've only cleared High elves 100% for faction wars so far. It's my next project I'm working on currently.
