Between Wes Borland and John Otto to elevate that sound with the beat, what a couple of madmen. It's definitely one of the band's best songs they ever did, oddly enough. His crown jewel being the Evanescence debut album imo... absolutely brilliant under all hats and if anyone wants to record, he's still at it and has a small recording studio in Florida with his friend/bandmate from their band Ugly Kid Joe. Limp bizkit fan since the 2011. Break stuff was the first song i've heard from them and I was instantly hooked. I've listened to 2nd and 3rd album fully and discovered many great songs, but then.. I've listened to their 1st album and it was it. No need to say that its their best album by far, imo and one of my favorite albums ever. It had such an amazing hardcore and underground feel to it. It was much darker, hevier and more serious than the next releases, except Tut, part1, but that one had pretty different sound as well. 3$bill is a perfect blend between metal and hip-hop, imo. Had a groovy and even funky parts in it. Awesome heavy riffls, thick Base lines, solid drumming work and turntables as a cherry on top and pretty good vocals with raping and screaming. Also one of the examples that Fred CAN write good lyrics, he just choose being silly in the next 2 albums and use simple chatch phrases as well the simpler, softer sound with upbeat feel to it for the mainstream sound.

I've always thought that The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1) is the most misunderstood record in their entire catalogue. I feel like they really took a gamble on that - the subject matter is an almost total departure from what they were doing up to that point. The one constant in the band's entire run is how good Wes Borland is. His ear / creativity for coming up with sick riffs really propels the band's sound

  • @SuperNolaguy
