DIY Towable Backhoe

DIY towable Backhoe in action. This is a hoe me and some friends put together a few years ago just to prove you can put a backhoe on a Super A Farmal Tractor and as it turns out anything with a hitch. Total investment about 100 hours and $1900.00 dollars.
The New Holland skid steer hoe was purchased for $100.00 Broken king pin and some other problems that were all fixed. before mounting on new set up. This thing is fun to use and very practical for small jobs.

What size hydraulic pump are you using? Very impressed!

I really dont remember it's been a few years. But what I did was looked up the gpm on the hoe from the manufacturer. And ordered one from a surplus company that matched.
When setting up I tested the pump with a 1/4 horsepower electric motor and it worked but needed a lot more power so I went with 20 hp Briggs that I purchased for 50 bucks from a junk guy.
