Can't wait for the FM Forbidden and Raider. Hopefully we also get Gaia, Abyss, and Chaos though they are ZGMF so they'd probably need a new mold on those since the 3 of them transforms while the Raider is the only one that transforms. Forbidden somewhat but that is basically its backpack going over its head.
well if they make another chaos they need to make it stronger i still have my 1/100 chaos from 2005 and one flaw is the back long flap keeps falling off the connection is very weak
I’ve never been much a fan of the Calamity’s design, but I have to admit that this kit looks sick. I might actually have to pick one up and might get the Forbidden and Raider if they bring those out too
@@HarisBahriZ but here’s the issue with the Sword version. Literally the same problem as the original, only reverse it and you have very few ranged capabilities.
@@tetraswift that’s part of it for me as well. The other reason is because it kind of gave me the impression Sunrise was trying to find a halfway point between the Sazabi and Buster (see the shoulders and large backpack). Solid looking kit though so I might change my opinion when I build it
This was such a fun build. The unique look and fresh build compared to usual MG, has made this an amazing model. I definitely agree with the high rating for a non-grade model kit.

Very minor thing but "sabot" is pronounced "say-bo". Its a real type of round, mostly famous for being used in artillery/tanks, and they are pretty nasty.
@@user-rf6or4eg3w Sabot rounds have an outer shell that is shed prior to impact. In theory the warhead could contain any munition type, I believe the U.S army even prototyped a small arms scale sabot for use with flechette rounds but that might be apocryphal.

Currently building this myself and it basically feels like an MG on the outside, just without a fully fleshed out inner frame that you'd get from an MG. feels like the other side of the HG-MG hybrid coin to the RG
@@tyronenelson1349 they're selection is better and more quickly updated than US sellers, and waiting up to 60 days to ship is neat, but you'll definitely pay a chunk more to ship from Japan to anywhere else in the world.

Gunpla are also getting more expensive lately I went to a Japanese store that had an amazing selection of HG gunpla, but all of them were overpriced because of Japanese imports. Here's a few examples HGFC Nobel Gundam- $50 HGAW Gundam X- $40 HGUC Hyaku Shiki Revive- $50 All 4 HG V Gundam kits- 30-40 each It's ridiculous.

well we did also have the Full Mechanics Freedom that is a Chinese exclusive but not sure it even uses the same GAT frame, can't wait for the Sword Calamity variant.

this one reminds me so much about the first gunpla i bought... which is ironic as the color scheme and overall motif from the build fighters gunpla matches the calamity so well - ofc I'm talking about the Leopard da Vinci
My first impression with FM kit, I thought it just some kind of another trash NG kit like bandai used to release back then. But ever since I saw this seed series FM, it blew off my expectations. The articulation and lining is just amazing, especially the hands. Can’t believe it’s similar like the MG seed series. I think I’m looking forward to get those 3 calamity, forbidden and rider 😅
the skirt flap ball joint requires either sanding (if its a full ball) or a built up drop of crazy glue. im often able to have a drop of ca glue sit right on the flat of the ball. after it dries it completes the radius resulting in a full ball!
I would use brown on the orange/yellowish pieces (V-fin, chest, lower shoulder, and kneecap) and black on everything else. I think black liner on the whole kit would work too. Hope this might still help

The situation with stock is crazy these days, if guess it's one aspect that hobby is really growing world wide and this was probably exemplified more with the pandemic keeping people at homes and giving them time to actually build some of their backlogs and subsequently new kits but still it's a shame it's so hard to get your hands on new and cool kits. I was glad I managed to find a site that had a pre-order open still for the MG eclipse, that thing sold out faster than Char kicking Armuro in his Zaku 2
That and Japan is dealing with a plastic shortage right now, don’t know if it’s cause of the pandemic though likely the case as Japan got by it a little later than other areas. Hence why Bandai is currently trying to work on a recycle system where they recycle the old runners that builders use.
Here in the UK it was always harder to get hold of gundam unless you could afford it, but just before the pandemic things were looking great for gunpla in the uk. Prices were reasonable shopping online and even more shops started to stock lots of kits. Right now, prices have skyrocketed online, mostly thanks to brexit and import fees but also the pandemic. I really hope things can go back they way they were.

I haven't tried buying and building MGs due to space limitation in my room. I'm more of 1/144 guy. But maybe JUST MAYBE. This release could convince me to try out 1/100 scale Gunpla Kits.

This may get ignored but it would be helpful as I am colorblind and would like some advise. What color Panel Liner would you all recommend for this ?

I was thinking of doing that. The last time I did it I was moving out of an apartment, so the next time I’m moving I’ll do the whole collection.
If it offers a hole for an arm connection, it's trivial to make a peg, so I'd say that works.
