I think the fact that Jill knew that Gale was stabbed in the shoulder makes more sense for a conclusion to be derived from than discussing about sharing the dream of writing books.
Why did Jill want Gale alive just so she could write the book with her? She made it pretty clear when she killed Charlie that she is not interested in sharing the fame she wants.
@Izaan ur rehman maybe it wasn't Jolly who stabbed Game, it was her accomplice, and either asked for Gale to be spared or killed. And the killer told Jill that she got stabbed in the arm and that's how Jilly brings it up.
I think this might’ve been better. I mean Jill was the smartest ghost face so she wouldn’t have made a mistake like saying she and gale both had the same scars
this scene is way better imo, after 11 years they finally give dewey a chance to be smart and connect some puzzle pieces for once, and it would make sense given he's the sheriff now and should be wiser. But it also just feels more realistic, much more realistic than "how Did she Know i Was stabbed in thE shoulder ToO"
It's more far-fetched that Dewey realized Jill was guilty this way since she was obviously attacked by Charlie but it is a plausible reason to have left Gale alive. She was always more of the scribe and documentarian than the final girl and it was her books that that were the inspiration for the Better Stab movies which truly catapulted Sidney to fame.

IE, ghostface wanted gale to be kept alive to write a book about what happened, just like how jill wants her to write a book about what happened. BOOM. Jill and Ghostface are the same person.
This is more on par with the rest of the series. Kevin Williamson is weird. Wes Craven had to rewrite most of Scream 2 because Kevin lost his mind. And his idea for Scream 3 was just completely retarded. And his obsession with writing movies about teens is a bit disturbing
I'm glad Kevin isn't allowed to write the Scream 5 script. We original fans are in our 30s now. We don't want to watch another Dawson's Creek style movie about teens.

I think it was cannon that they never had any kids, but I would love if they did. Imagine a mix of Gale and Dewey, would be such a great character
