    I have been wearing the regular old Nail envy for 6 months with every manicure and polish change so 2-3 times a week. I have to say I have noticed a huge positive difference in them. They are stronger and I also noticed that they have been growing a lot faster. So I’m excited to try the repair mode to add it to my regimen.

      I'll be making a video very soon! :D Nail envy won't be making the nail grow faster, but the effect seems to be that since the nail is not breaking you see growth success. Things would have to be labeled as "medication" or something like that, cannot be cosmetic, to cause nail to actually grow faster. ❤

    I used the regular clear Nail Envy and it really made my nails harder and they grew longer. I ran out and used other strengtheners that I had and now 4 of my nails have broken down to the skin. So, I need more Nail Envy. I hope these colors work as well as the original in strengthening nails because that was my only complaint about the product. I like colors and applying multiple times a week meant boring nails. LOL Thanks for sharing!!

    • @PolishLabRat
      @PolishLabRat  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The original Nail Envy contained formaldehyde which is a nail hardener and this is probably the one you had. The new Nail Envy has been reformulated and it no longer contains a hardener component. The same is true for these color ones, they do not harden the nail.

    Excited for your update on the ones your testing daily. Thank you for the swatch video I really wanted to see this first before buying anything. ❤️

      @PolishLabRat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t have enough info to make a video on that, but a quick update is that they seem to stay very well without base and top, and they dry quickly, and as I add more coats (+1 per day) the manicure doesn’t seem to get annoyingly thick… so as far as staying power, it seems to work. Now, I don’t have damage on the thumb to test any sort of health improvement to the nail.

    Thank you for the review, it's good to see the colours. Just to say that I used Nail Envy in Hawaiian Orchid and after several uses my nails have become stronger, less splitting, so it does work as a strengthener. I used it on its own, no base or top coat. :) I will buy big apple red next !

    Oooh thank you for this review. I typically wear their regular Nail Envy as a base coat and it always helps prevent breakage for me. I think one of these in a neutral would be great for between manicures when I want something fast to protect my nails but I haven't picked a color yet or just can't make up my mind.

    • @PolishLabRat

    I love OPI! I know the regular Nail Envy is pricey so I bet these are too. I think if they benefit the nails it may be worth it. Love your swatches and the blue is gorgeous!

    • @PolishLabRat
      @PolishLabRat  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So this one is a fully opaque cream formula, and CAS is a dark blue jelly formula. Additionally CAS has a more visible shimmer and it's a bit of a "more obvious" blue, where the Nail Envy is VERY VERY dark

    I had been having gel nail polish applied monthly for the last 5yrs and decided I needed to save the money instead ( because of the cost of living crisis over here in the Uk)
    but when I stopped for about 3months a year ago just to give my nails a breather,my nails were lovely when I applied good quality nail varnish ( including O.P.I) but they would be chipped and looking scruffy by about day 3-4.
    After having the gel polish removed this time ( she also used to use a bonding polish underneath to strengthen my nails) I was horrified at how weak, brittle and paper thin all my nails were😳
    So I did my research and saw this O.P.I nail strengthener and I ordered the colour Big Apple Red! ( although the red does appear a bit darker when applied but still lovely)
    You are SO right when you say the formula is lovely! Absolutely guides on beautifully just with one coat.. but I did as instructed and applied 2 coats and I have been applying an extra coat every evening and I’ve found if you leave it for 20mins it’s fully dry. I’m absolutely blown over by how strong all my natural nails have now become just after a few weeks and how much they have grown 😍 it definitely works and it hasn’t chipped once!
    My nails look just as good as if it was gel polish done professionally in the salon💖
    Thanks for your great review of all the different colours as I’m definitely going to invest in more 😊 I know they are quite expensive but definitely worth it as savings a fortune in the long run and I definitely recommend if you have weak nails. They are about £24.99 each to buy here in the Uk. The only complaint I have is, I wish they did more colours.

      I’m so glad these have worked nicely for you! As long as you use up the bottle, then the money will be worth it. And yes more colors would be good haha

      @@PolishLabRatYes, will definitely use the bottles up 😄 I’m bedridden in a hospital bed for 21 hrs a day with a chronic illness and have been for 5yrs but it really cheers me up having my nails looking lovely. So I have the time to keep on top of them. I’ve just ordered the blue one and the bubble gum pink as they look gorgeous on you 😍

    I am intrigued about the seemingly “better”, even if slightly, formulas on classic colors like Bubble Bath and Aline Snow ❤. I also thought the same thing - formulas were like the Nature Strong line. Thanks for sharing your honest perspective as always !

    • @PolishLabRat
      @PolishLabRat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching! :D Yes, they are slightly better for sure. If they will be used just as colors without worrying about the 'nail envy' aspect, I'm not sure they are worth the price increase tho... (I'm still debating that myself :P)

    OMG! The blue looks amazing! 😍
    Some are their popular shades but some are just in the envy line now. (I would know if this blue had been around before this launch😂). You mentioned bubble bath in gelcolor is pink?! What?! I do not like the polish color but pink sounds good... Do you have it to compare it? 😍❤️

      I agree. I hadn't seen the price when I filmed, but did look later, and it's not in my budget. I would rather strengthen my nails with a good oiling habit and stopping habits that cause damage (like peeling polish, buffing, and other stuff like that).
