This was very interesting video because one just to feel the solemnesss of this beach the great expanse of this beach is amazing. hard to imagine the events the horrors that took place here 79 years ago . My grand father was part of the first wave of the first diision the big red one! These men became legendary . When my grand fathers boat hit the beach (he was a platton seargeant at the time) he and 2 privates were the only survivors of the boat of 30 men !!! My grandfather survived the war saw many battles and many horrors. These men showed true bravery shear will and determination that day despite all odds against them true heros !! God bless to all the men that fought there on all sides rest in peace your stories of bravery and determination will never be forgotten . . .🇺🇸🇨🇦🇬🇧🇩🇪
At 20.18 the peacefulness and beauty of this stunning beach review the horror of that day. I walked this beach on a beautifully sunny warm day and still got goosebumps.
I regret that I did not visit Omaha Beach when I was stationed in Germany in 85. I made it to Paris, but not to Normandy. My Grandfather came ashore at Omaha. He battled all the way to Berlin. I'm alive today because of the millions of rounds fired none found him.
Very interesting, would been even better with minimal narration as to what specifically we were looking at? Of course the silence is out of respect to the fallen soldiers caught up in the insanity of all wars.😥

Defies not review
Thank you so much for this. I always wanted to go to the Normandy beaches. Knowing I probably will never make it now. You brought them to me!
The ocean is so calm there.
view from the water looking at the ridge line is both stunning and haunting..Such a wide beach in the open and such a elevated defense
Felt like I was there, thank you very much for the video.

Abraços meu amigo.
I would suggest that you watch the video while listening to the Saving Private Ryan soundtrack in the background. It will enhance your experience.
So are there unexploded land mines on the beach? I’d be nervous to ever go there.

This is where the Fallen Soldier who shored or just disembarked in Normandy Beach were killed
