Hey! That is totally understandable, and trust me you are not alone. Learning to code is a marathon, not a sprint! I recommend you check out our career paths and solely focus on one technology/language at a time. Personally, I have made the mistake of jumping between different languages (javascript/python) and all it did was slow me down. Hope this helped 😊
I know it sounds overwhelming and but once you start, you'll feel better about it. Honestly, I'm so happy I decided to take ZTM Web Developer course, I'm about 25% finished with it and already looking forward to learning python afterwards. The only thing I wish was that I had started sooner! They have a great discord server that helps me out every time I get stuck.
Im interested in Data Science but I keep reading on social media that its too hard to get hired in that sector without related college degrees. What does ZTM recommend? I ask because Web Development is not my cup of tea but do enjoy programming, thank you.
Hey Nando! I understand your frustration. With a great portfolio, you can certainly get hired in this industry without ever attending a four-year program at a university. @@synen Hi! I'm on the same page as you. I found myself I was not interested in Web Development, so I changed my learning path to data analytics. I still love Python tho :) SQL and PowerBI courses are included in the course path that ZTM suggested. Tableau is not yet, and honestly, I want it in the ZTM courses. Statistics is a big one to beat. I'd recommend some online courses and reading good books related to Statistics. It's what I do these days :)
Hey Abayomi! I would recommend you continue learning the MERN stack. Those technologies are still very relevant today and you can certainly get hired by knowing them. Once you're ready you can start moving into the world of META frameworks and continue skill stacking. Hope this helped 😊
