- Colorado National Monument is a National Park Service unit near the city of Grand Junction, Colorado. Sheer-walled canyons cut deep into sandstone and granite-gneiss-schist rock formations. This is an area of desert land high on the Colorado Plateau, with pinyon and juniper forests on the plateau.
Special thanks to my brother Pat for getting a few extra shots to make this video.
Awesome video! Well done!
It's an amazing, incredible park. It's almost on par with the Grand Canyon and crazy that we don't hear about it. Fun video - felt like I was there!
Thank you!
Hmm, May have to find my way down there this weekend! Trying to find somewhere to camp and film this weekend.
Always a good video you produce. I hope you stick with it.
Thank you so much! They do have like drive up parking, I honestly don’t know what the backcountry situation is.
@@american_explorer I'll figure that part out. Mostly car camping during the winter right now anyways. I'm sure itll work out for me. Cant wait to see what adventure you come up for us viewers next!
@@JChurchua I'm working on a few different ones right now, just have to buckle down and get them edited.
@@american_explorer @American Explorer Total opposite of my issue. I film over the weekend, edit on sunday night or monday and then post on tuesdays is my regular. If I end up near grand junction tomorrow then I will make a verbal promo for your channel, since this video in particular is inticing me.
Either way you have great content. Do you watch "think media" or any of the channels out there telling you "how" to grow the channel? your editing skillz and videos are up there, we just gotta find you subscribers!! (:
@@american_explorer Backcountry is available apparently. Ended uo staying at the fruita visitor center for free(CNM also has campground for $22)
Going through a rough breakup so the video didnt come out how I wanted. but better than nothing!
Well-done video! Far better than most out there. I enjoyed the graphic map and old photos. Your narration was informative ( if not a little campy) and to the point. Keep up the good work! I plan on checking out more of your videos!👍
Great video! Keep up the good work!
Had to reupload due to an audio glitch.
Are there scenic pull overs for this scenic drive?
