    Is there any correlation to fertility rituals?

      it is more of a tradition. union of family and neighbors.
      Today this dance is very popular throughout the Arab world. it is danced at parties. outdoor. Anytime, anywhere.

      It is a traditional dance of Syrian Lebanon Palestine, Jordan and Iraq.
      but it is danced all over the Arab world.
      There is the Egyptian dabke, the Saudi Arabian dabke, etc. but its origin is in the Baalbeck Mountains between Lebanon and Syria.

      @@dabkedance you have any source for the egyptian dabke? The ones danced in Saudi Arabia are by families that are living in places bordering the jordanian border, they are basicly jordanian

      @@YrGuitarGeek I have no source at this time.
      but its dable is very basic, and it is not so evolved. in egypt tahteeb is very strong for men. and for women there are more than 100 styles.
      but I will share with you a link of a dabke from ancient assyria. a style that was forgotten.

    • @beckeras8848

      Arabs are almost 500 million in population. Who's more likely to copy the other dude buddy?
      Also, Dabkeh literally translates to stomping which is Arabic. This dance, Shawarma, Kenafeh, Ice cream, and coffee all originated in Arab places. I'm pretty sure we don't need to copy anything.

      @David-fe8dv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@beckeras8848 bro it ain't about the population, it's about how old each nation is, and translation dosen't prove anything ,ice cream was first made in China and coffee was discovered in South America btw

      @@David-fe8dv You're literally an ignorant person. Ice cream was invented in Syria, Coffee was discovered in East Africa by the Yemeni Arabs and used for business and trade everywhere by them. That's why the best brand of daily consumed coffee is Arabica and is in every "Turkish" coffee people drink. Kenafa is made in Nabulus Palestine. So believe me, dude, we don't need to have a "copy" let alone a bad one.
