I am a heavy metal guy. I was 7 when Elvis died.... this right here, in my humble opinion was the greatest live performance in the history of all music. When those horns kick in and Elvis is looking at his band, yelling out at them and grits his face, its like he knew what was happening. Ive heard this song so many times and I still get chills everytime. What else can can be said about this?
I was 7 when he died also. I remember the mood (of the whole planet) just exhaled and didn’t recover for a long time. He was so loved and I still get emotional after all these years. It’s crazy!
I agree. We are about the same age. This live performance in Hawaii was to me the greatest live performance of all time. The epic voice, charisma, and stage presence of Elvis. the arrangement, the Stamps quartet, the sweet inspirations backup singers, the orchestra, the drums the horns and the flute. It was like the most amazing performance EVER.

I love him my uncle worked for Elvis in Security .. he got. US Tickets to his concert but he passed away before we could see him. I Met him and he was the kindest person I’ve EVER known . I was at his funeral there will never be another like him❤

i am 66 years old i grew up on Elvis, there will never be another Elvis ever ,i was coming back to my work place driving on my driving rt here in Arknasas, and i heard on the company van radio i was listening to that Elvis had died, i was 21 than, i cried all the way back to my company

I think it was one of his best! I could see the drugs in him, I watched it live, but, he had control! And he pulled it off big time!

I took my mother to see Elvis in concert twice, once in 1974 then in 1977, just a few months before his death .Thinking back it seemed like the world had stopped! turning on that horrible, day! Because people from all over the world were in shock!! He was loved by millions of not billions. I truly hope that Elvis Presley is remembered, for many many years to come...

I love watching these younger people get what my generation knows. Elvis is the greatest performer of all time. Period. He had a gift from God that is unmatched. The way he made people feel…it’s just amazing.

It is December 2022, I'm 68 and I still love Elvis' voice. Epic indeed. So exciting to see young people appreciating this brilliant performer and humble man. Rest in peace Elvis. His back up singers and musicians are also wonderful. We cry because he went too soon and was treated too poorly when he was alive.
I would go back in time just to see that concert and this song in particular.

His musicians and backup vocalists were the best. But if you really know about Elvis, you know that he only picked the best, he'd put those arrangements together and EVERYTHING had to be PERFECT! Not trying to take away from the epic talent of those musicians, but all his shows were so mind blowing bc that is what he expected and gave to his fans. He felt so deeply for both his music and his fans that in some ways, I think it was one of the reasons he was taken so early. He couldn't do anything, (even the unhealthy stuff) half way. He gave his all and we are blessed to have these videos and recordings for all time, so that we can all share the same reaction you did...tears, goosebumps, and gratitude for a supreme talent shared! My daughter is 27 and even only just became a huge Elvis fan after seeing the Elvis movie last summer. She will be using one of his songs in her upcoming wedding, which thrills me. Elvis was a love that I shared w my mom and Grams and now my daughter! I hope many more young people discover his epic talent! Enjoy! ❤

Elvis IS The King of Rock and Roll, having seen him twice in Concert personally, even as a teenager, he was beyond comprehension in person, you became mesmerized at his amazing voice, charm, personality and how much he cared about his fans, his people, and being in Memphis he gave out Cadillacs to people randomly as an adult would give candy to children. A great man of Faith, Care for all Human Beings, and amazing generosity. He is the King of Rock, Michael the Prince of Pop, along with other awesome never to be repeated performers who left this Earth way too early.

Elvis could change the depth of the song, go low, get up real high and I don't know how he carried a note as long as he did it.
