I would like to correct one thing: The Redmi Buds 6 Lite does have a rating of IP54, according to the official website. Edit: It is shown below on the Redmi Buds 6 Lite page.
@@nervacore7856 they do? when I asked our official xiaomi "customer support" if either lite or active had any IP rating since it looks like they switched designs they weren't even able to answer and sent me links to 3 unrelated community posts and YT videos instead 😆 I just wanted to know if sweating/rain might be a problem for either of those (and which one of those had better sound since I am deciding if I should buy the lite or active ones)
I appreciate the straight to the point nature of the video. If I had to criticize something, the background sounds are too loud or too distracting for me.
Ohh cool, I decided to get the active ones. They're the best choice for me as I don't like the buds with silicone cover and I want to hear the sounds around me as I'm walking outside while listening to music. It's cool they have some kind of water resistance as I'd use them in the bathtub hehe
You're very articulate and know how to simplify your reviews, for now I would advise you to reduce the volume of the background noise since it eclipses your voice on certain parts.
I have both of them I like 6 lite better, the silicon tips really makes a huge difference in comfort and passive noice cancelling, has more battery and punchier bass (cause of silicon tips) but 6 active case design is a 10x better, feels premium, small and thin while 6 lite case has some small gaps and feels cheap
hi tysm for this review !! i got the lite ones and i love them so far, sometimes hear a slight ringing noise in one but nothing too serious they have an amazing design and really good sound
I have them both in black, both amazing. The 6 Lite has complete noise cancellation feature, while the 6 active doesn't have... but can still mask outside noise pretty well. The 6 active for me has a very good bass quality (like a sub-woofer effect). Overall, I like 6 active more than 6 Lite.
Niceee, I prefer the lite more and I’m actually shocked to hear that the 6 active can mask outside sound haha. So cool how experience differs for different people. Thanks for sharing!!
@@altonschannel Yes, brother. At first, i was a bit disappointed finding out that the 6 active doesnt have noise cancellation on the app...i may have wasted money. But after days of usage (like "burning" the earbuds where its components settle together and they'll sound what they are supposed to), i now prefer the 6 active. Bass gets richer overtime, i guess. Plus, 6 active hurts less (not in-ear) 👍🏻 Anyway, your speaking voice and accent are excellent. Keep it up brother ⚡️💪
@@ActuarialScience-kq4rw Hi! Well, both doesn't easily fall off the ears. But if you engage mostly on intense physical activities (e.g. running), i recommend getting the 6 lite for a more secure fit. Yes, for me they are still both equally amazing. Using them alternately is so ear-satisfying 👌👌
I tried the lite at store.its sound was great but it hurts my ear and cause pressure and I don't like that the sound of people around me is muffled. So I ordered the active one and I want to know If the sound is close to the lite in terms of quality and loudness? Can you listen to youtube videos and music in noisy environment? And what about calls in noisy situations?
Thank you! It should be the razor siren mini 🎙️ It’s really good value haha. It’s mostly designed for gaming or streaming but I use it for a video production.
how is the ANC if there is background noise on my end and i am on a call, would Redmi bud 6 lite suppress the background noise for the other person on call?
I don’t think you can hear too well with the active under nosy conditions. And in terms of loudness and sound quality the lite is way better than the active. The active is more of an open design that’s light and comfortable, but sound wise it’s not as good as the other
@altonschannel Thank you for reply I want to go for the lite but is it comfortable to wear it for hours And can you hear people around you when it is on your ear without using it?
When my ears sick while using airpod pro, it seems like it would be good to use this cuz its open type earphone. but i think its a bit of a flaw that it doesn't support the AAC codec.
Keep doing what you are right now. This channel will grow! I bought these myself after your video and they were soo worth it, I thought for the price of 20€ this will not be spectacular work from Xiaomi but they really blew me away. I'm talking about the 6 Lite. This is no paid comment but the pros for me are: Good bass and overall quality Very nice UI and Settings to customize the buttons Noise cancelling works quite well They stuck in your ear like air pods and they really have a cool case with a good charging capability Cons They don't come with a charger The battery life is probably enough to be satisfied but not LONG Everything COULD be Better but for this price I think it's the best air buds in the market. Would buy this for minimum 40€ every day of the week 👍
I lost my Redmi buds 5 a while ago so I cant compare them side by side. But I don’t remember there being too much of a difference. The buds 5 should sound slightly better though. Hope this helps!
I bought the blue buds lite, it doesn't have the transparent window. Maybe that one is some kind of special edition. The sound is very clean, and the ANC is noticeable. Surprising quality for the price, i got it for $13.

Not a dumb question at all! Earbuds without rubber tips will leak sound more easily. So the lite will be better if you don’t want to disturb others with anything you’re listening to
I bought the buds 6 actice last week and they cut off frequently when Im walking outside, especially when Im crossing the street in front of cars. I gotta return them, worst bluetooth earbuds I ever had
Sometimes theses things happen. I have had the lite and other earbuds cut off randomly. But it’s rare and usually due to interference or old phones. More expensive earbuds usually have this problem less in my experience
i'll suggest you to go check your ears because i got the buds 6 lite and they sound like shit.. high compression artifacts. what bitrate they use, 64kbps?
Hello! Sounds like you care a whole lot about the audio to question even their bitrate. Then they’re probably not for you. These are budget earbuds from a budget series. For the price they offer a very compelling sound and feature set for most people as you can see in the other comments. Plus, sound is rather subjective. It take a while to figure out which brand you like and don’t like. Thanks for watching!
