    Really enjoyed the relaxing vibe of the video and the reminder to chose the swim for you rather than getting swept up in distances, times or what others are doing. Look forward to your next video. Thanks

    What a lovely swim, and a special bonus for a work day. My circular swims involve doing laps round a bay on the coast!!!

    WoW… Swimming GOLD for sure!! Everything’s amazing… the scenery, the bridge with the archway and the curvy concrete pillars, the weir, and the local folks enjoying the water. I am super-intrigued by the long skinny boats… I was going to ask if people live on them full-time but one of them even had houseplants, and many had bikes which tells me they must be floating homes for some lucky folks. It would be sooo fun to spend a night or two on one of those boats and check out some more swim areas. Here in the PNW (🇨🇦) it would be a death mission to swim in the local rivers right now due to Spring freshet. No river swimming here until late June or early July… until then the lakes are awesome. Bears, a moose, and a loon have been keeping me company. Thanks for this great video Rachel and Ali. As always, it was fun, relaxing, and so interesting 🏊‍♀️💦

      Hi Mary, I thought you'd enjoy the narrrowboats, in fact I thought of you when I shot that part of the video. We were actually working on a narrowboat that day, we should definetly get out on one if you come over. Quite a few of the boats moored along the Kennet and Avon canal near to Bath are liveaboards, they mostly have permanent moorings and barely move. Other people liveaboard but have a 'constant cruiser' license for their boat which means they can stay a maximum of 2 weeks at a particular spot on a canal. Sounds like you have som good swimming company at the moment - stay safe!

    That looks magical and overall I think I enjoy your 'in land' swims more than the coastal ones but both are fab.
    Could you make another umbles related video in light of what nearly happened to Christian Eriksen on sat? Perhaps what to do if a swim partner or even a stranger suddenly collapses whether in the water or not. And measures to take if alone as you would be buggered in the water or anywhere alone

    • @Daveonarave
      @Daveonarave 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice to see you swimming by a railway - they're by many swim spots in land and on the coast eg in Devon and Northumbria and other places and I think it's a glorious site.
      Level crossing safety awareness could be another video idea? I bet so many desperate to jump in the water and cool down or if already stripped to cossie feeling a bit conscious would run the risk in that situation and not doing so is even more responsible than the litter picking you do

    What a lovely swim! Love it when you get info from another swimmer who knows the route, currents etc. Do have allogators as well as logadiles?

    • @EverydayAthleteRach
      @EverydayAthleteRach  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well do you know what, I didn't spot any, but I could have been mistaken as now I think of it that does look like an allogator doesn't it, maybe the logadiles are more likely in coastal areas. I'll keep my wits about me.

    • @EverydayAthleteRach
      @EverydayAthleteRach  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I swim daily in the ocean (PNW) - however generally avoid the non-glacial or snowmelt rivers, with the discharge from farms. Due you swim with head above water only?

    • @EverydayAthleteRach
      @EverydayAthleteRach  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Harry, thanks for commenting, I know I have at least one other viewer in PNW, although she swims in lakes. If I'm swimming socially, or in a fast moving river it's head up, if I'm training or Wnting to check out the under water view, I swim front crawl.
