I spent practically all of high school dreaming of being a vanguard, and then I was fortunate to have been in it in 07 as a rook-out. Thank you to the corps members who are on the road right now busting ass and pushing against expectations in this great group that is the Santa Clara Vanguard. Because of all of you, a really important part of me still continues to live on in the world. And to be clear, ultimately this isn’t about me (or any alumni for that matter in my opinion), we were fortunate to have been a part of it and our time is long done. I just wanted to mention to any current members that may happen to pass upon this comment that what you are doing is a blessing to all of us in the past, you in the present, and those in the future that you are keeping the gates open for. I am rooting for you all the way to finals.
