A very very important suggestions to all Goa travellers bus company and owner, that when we are traveling to Mumbai to Goa, or Goa to Mumbai, it is noted that the drivers do not halt the buses to go for loo/bathroom, where it is very difficult for aged, and ladies, and inspite of telling also they don't halt, they only halt once for dinner then straight to destination, it's really pathetic, first they used to halt, but now few years they do not, pls blogger kindly take it to the concern, as there are no toilet inside also, as I have recently seen a bus Balaji intra-city, going to Ahmedabad having these facility, I hope Mumbai to Goa will start the same, if they don't halt the buses in mid. Pls take it up.

Reminded me glorious days of 1990s-2000s when we used travel mumbai-goa via original route NH17, now that the route has changed and buses become more powerful and many new new buses brand comes daily back then it wasn't the case the route used to be covered with trees and full of ghats also there wasn't cap on speed and buses were either Tatas or leylands nothing eles, which made it more thrilling and risky😁. Coming to buses there were limited and fixed buses running on this route either goa or mah. Registered in the night the race and movement of them were full of joy to travel.
I agree with everything thing u sd. I too used to love tht old road where racing was challenging and fun. I remember Everyone would be in race mode and not let anyone overtake easily.

Looks like the Mumbai-Goa highway has lost popularity among private bus operators, and they prefer the Pune via expressway, and Gagan Bavda route. I love the old charm of the Mumbai Goa highway with the Kadambas doing that stretch in 13 hrs. Start from Panajim at 1500 hrs, and you are at Kurla Nehru Nagar bus stand at 4 am. That was in 1995-96.

India is a sleeping nation. That's why there are so many sleeper buses but no business class seats(2:1). If you have to stretch your legs forward through the whole journey how do you feel? Isn't it disturbing and stressful?
