      There are some really great wine restaurants around and this is one of them. Fair pricing makes it more fun to explore high-end wines.

    The inn looks great and I really like their French wine list from the online retail arm of it, too. I'm right in Boston so I'll have to give them some business soon enough. Very deep Loire Valley selection and the prices are right in line with the market, and even on the lower side in most cases.
    Loved the video and thanks for featuring them!

      Try to get a table on a Friday when they run half price on all wines under $100 and $50 off all wines over $100. Lots of good options.

      Holy moly! I just went through their 55 pages of wine (formatted in "Restaurant Style Wine List" from CellarTracker - lol) and they have some amazing wines! This would be a great restaurant to try some back vintages. 1974 BV George de Latour for $450? That's gotta be worth a try. Fantastic recommendation - thank you. - Pops

    One of your best videos! That was really fun and interesting to learn about the restaurant and seeing it's collection. The dinner with wine at the end was great and you should have more episodes like this. Man, Stacey is going to be mad and/or jealous that she wasn't invited. B is correct that oysters are dead once they're shucked but it's so fresh that it's really splitting hairs. And B talking with a mouth full of fries got me to lol. I played it back three times and still have no idea what she was trying to say. I guess that's what you get at the end of the night with multiple glasses of wine.
    We need more restaurants like this where the wines are not marked up to ridiculous prices. I love wine as much as Pops but won't order bottles if they go for 3-4 time retail. I hate restaurants that gouge on wine and either bring my own bottle, order something else, or just patron other restaurants that don't do that.

    • @OurPourDecisions
      @OurPourDecisions  วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I love the fact that you appreciate the humor in B's editing. Stacey was so bummed she couldn't come along but I hope we'll have more opportunities to visit restaurants with a camera. I agree with you about restaurants that mark up wine to ridiculous prices. Takes the joy out of the dining experience.

    Hi, you guys are seriously underrated!
    As a newbie, I’ve gotta ask-what do you do with the leftover wine? If you open 4-5 bottles and don’t get totally hammered, does the rest just go down the drain?

    • @OurPourDecisions
      @OurPourDecisions  วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ברטופליאן Welcome to the channel! We definitely don’t let the wine go to waste- we typically invite friends over/enjoy with family after filming. In this case we shared the bottle with Sean, Jay, and some other staff at the Pluckemin Inn.

    You might have to stick to screw tops with your luck when it comes to bad corks!
    On a different note, it is good to see there are a few places that have more reasonable markups on wine. The wine industry is worried about the long-term trend of lower consumption, and restaurants charging 200%-300% markups are not helping to reverse that trend.

    • @OurPourDecisions
      @OurPourDecisions  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That’s exactly how we feel too.

      Wine and restaurants may overlap but are two different industries and they have different interests. I'll support both if their interests align with mine but I refuse to visit or buy wines from restaurants that charge ridiculous markups on them.

    Its a pitty you didnt get to enjoy tondonia, its a very particular wine, not my favoutite but still very special. Let me recomend some if you dont mind: barón de chirel 2014, castillo ygay 2012, obviously vs único 2011 is already good, contino viña el olivo, and finnaly alabaster 2020, although young, you can start to enjoy it.
