Would like to be a part of this production. My stepson is heading this way and I would like for him to see that there are different ways of life out there. Thanks Manny. I would like to help with any task you guys might have.
If you grew up in East L.A. there was nothing but gangs everwhere. But if you got in a gang you better stick to it because if you try to get out you are dead. But if you were not in a gang you live a better life. All my family grew up im East L.A. and never in a gang, my bro's were all Graduates of high school. They all have good jobs. And they all move out of East L.A to live a better life for their kids. And I thank God they did. Living in a better environment for their good.
Out of 7 kids that my family are, I'm the only one in my family that stood in East L.A. Why? Because I was the last one that stood to take care of my parents. Until my father Died in 2009, I was devastated, and had to take care of my mom. But all the years I've been living in East L.A. I haven't had any problem with anyone, or cause any problems. I nevered had any bad situations what's so ever. If you mind your own business people will respect you, but if you have problems you better watch what you say around your neighborhood. Theirs alot of violence near Boyle Heights at night, so lock up your cars going around that area.
As a northerner I got respect for your side. We all in the struggle n strive 4 the same cause. Much respect regardless of sum opinions💯 we need 2 stop the violence so we could strive
Born and raised in south central LA and from very young age I understood the difference between a Gangster and a Maniac. The last thing you want is to roll with or have beef with a Maniac.
My great aunt and uncle lived in Boyle Heights long ago in the 1930s and early 1940s. Back then there were Asian and Eastern Europeans still in that area. My uncle remembered the pachucos and the Zoot Suit riots. Then like the other Japanese Americans in 1942 he was sent to an internment camp. People always say shit about East LA but its a rich cultural area where people live and work and play and try to survive despite the crime. ❤
I love East L.A. , i grew up there . Sometimes my co-workers ask me where are the best places to eat , i tell them but i hate the fact that i got to warn them because it might be in a bad neighborhood . It embarrasses me sometimes . If East L.A. was completely united to keep the violence at a all time low . I'll still take pride but it'll feel a great sense of relief .
Being an 80’s baby, growing up in Echo Park . I gotta say this really hit close to home. Watching friends and family doing life or just dead for silly shit like banging, helped me grow as a man. KEEP DOING YOUR THING BRO, it feels good seeing raza do positive things. Can’t wait to see prt.3... Much blessing to you and your movement.
Turn this into a movie series this be dope. We need more chicano movies out there. Im looking at the comments and man a mexicans enemy is another mexican its sad we need to UNITe brothers.
Damn homie keep it 100... to hell if anyone says negative. Those are the people that haven't had to live like that and fortunate for them. It is a fast vida but a short one lived.. everyone gets caught up in that onda when all it really is, Is the hype of feeling invincible and the false pride and respect. It is unfortunate that a lot of homies are locked up and/or dead. But your right homie you said "this one night changed your life" that's all it takes is 1 time to wake up... Keep the videos coming bro, show there is an upscale to the downhill approach that alot of us that had to live like this or was put into this or even persuaded to go along with this type of lifestyle. Not many get a choice homie tu sabes. We are better than this ....!
This is what I have been waiting for so long. Updated Raja videos to potential movies. I really hope you get what you need and will be there every step of the way.
I carried a gun to school at 12...I wanted to be a crazy mother! Thank you Lord for leading me out of darkness....high school, college, University, military retired.
Just don't get stuck in the past you gotta live for the future. The past is gone, the future is not here yet, this moment is a gift that's why it's call the present

Just like that It continues to occur when you leave the house and never return. Weather you die out in the streets or weather you go out and kill someone and your wife/kids never get to see you again. Lives are changed forever because of the wrong choices one makes. Mothers never see their kids again and it's so sad that we're all killing ourselves.
This is what people live with everday man. It's crazy. Many people find it hard to get out and are forced back in but it's good u changed your life for the better
I’m from northern ca and I have to say to all your viewers this is good stuff meaning that this is how a lot of us grew up and it’s also very sad because it took me a very long time to realize that we are all Mexicans or Latinos Hispanic or Chicano and should not be doing this to each other we should be positive influences to our kids so the killing stops, I like the video it’s raw and pure and authentic, maybe this will scare some kids or even adults who think this is the life they want, until it’s there time to be the victim. I will subscribe to help your cause brother.
We're all ppl foh with the Mexican latinos b.s. nobody should be doin this to each other no matter what color race or nationality you are were all ppl just tryna live and enjoy what's already a s****y life why make it s******r were all the same
It's not so much that it should emphasize fear, but the reasoning of how many within their own are killing each other while other people have prospered economically, leaving us behind. This is, however, sad. It reminds me a lot of John B. Calhoun's mouse Utopia experiment. The only difference is one being a social circumstance of mice with abundant resources while the other of humans living with limited resources. I can only hope for my Chicano brothers to smarten-up some day by realizing their powerful potential of getting along with each other to prosper collectively. However, the continuation of feelings of resentment, pride, and egoism will continue to self- destruct our communities.
People hating on all this, u wouldnt get it until u live it people dont choose this kind of life style . some people get stuck in the game to deep theres no turningg back decisions u made as a you g juvenile follow u till ur old everything always come back so u just gotta stick to it, it is what it is sick ass flick
This takes me back to the 90s during my gangbanging days. There's always that one homie that goes to far and gets everyone caught up in his bullshit, later those are the ones that dont last or snitch. They dont care about nothing.
Yo this is pretty good. I was skeptical before I watched it. Thought it was going to be bad acting and what not like that movie, I forgot the name but one of the gangs in the movie is called Tokers town or something like that. Thank God it wasn't anything like that. I hope you end up getting this made into a series, I would binge watch it like Narcos if it's like this teaser.
Your talking about Duke of Earl. And that was a promotional movie for Victory outreach church. And it was filmed early 80's. Acting was bad but it was the message that was strong for the times.
THEY FILMED IT IN THE CITY OF CUDAHY ON WILCOX & CLARA ST I USED TO STAY RITE UP THA STREET THAT GAS STATION IS A CIRCLE K NOW IT AINT IN BOYLE HEIGHTS.
From east Los here. Never lived that life style. My east Los is going to king taco getting some tacos Friday night jumping over fences to play soccer at schools and chilling listening to music with friends.
Car jacks and tire irons are old school. All I needed to see was a switch blade and chain to give this 5 stars! I'm combing my hair with my palm comb and tres flores throwing on my derby jacket with my last name stitched on the back in old english ready to meet up with my lady so we can go to the store to pick up some Teen Angel magazines and watch Zoot Suit.
Best part ones u become a gang member,ur whole family no matter what ur hard working dad ,mom , brothers, sisters ,cuz girlfriend n it keeps on going becomes a target. Even abuelita That's why kids stay in school n b cool.graduate bring happiness n money to ur family, not bullets ur friend Batman.
My dads lil cousin had just finish boot camp from the Marine's . He had taken his girl to the movies. He was killed gang members coming out of movies. My dad, his cousins were all in the military. Had been answered being ready to be ship off to Vietnam. They went and found those gang members and allegedly took care of business. This was in East L.A. . Goes to show you the loyalty these soldiers had for their own and neighborhood. Even till they were old men and dying, they hatred for a certain street gang was still there...
