This is genuinely one of the best short films I’ve seen the acting the script the cast everything was just yes no unnecessary conflict or misunderstandings or odd drugging or kidnapping or any romanticized SA/domestic violence it was just simple sweet love not to mention we finally got a ML that understands consent and a FL who knows what’s not good for her no elders trying to fuck things up very refreshing to see

FL just gave up her ex in the begging of the drama and after that shows her open up to ML, he truly loves her 🥰 I love this plot so much, I wish we could have this plot with all my favourite cast but unfortunately I just found 2. This and another one. This drama is a total green flag. FL doesn't do anything but life punished her ex haha I love this drama

Very handsome Mls and pretty Fl with good acting and good storylines. Sometimes it is good to experience being in a bad relationship with an uncaring person to really appreciate being in a relationship with a caring one! Unlike Lu Zhiying, Xue Cen knew XuMei's likes and dislikes and completely trusted her. He took time with her, supported her and helped her solve any issues. I loved that XuMei grew to love Xue Cen as he loved her. A very good drama where the Fl is pursued by her ex, but she flatly refuses him and remains with the loyal and good 2nd Ml. Well-written and makes you love the dream 2nd Ml.
I wish they would put the longer version of the song the one where he really caught her and does all kinds of things to make her feel like he really loves her this is a short version they both good but the long version is really good

And the ex bf is looking at 5 years in court then a prison sentence himself for fraud and embezzlement and possibly a few other things. So an abrupt ending but at least all loose ends are tied off. I do wonder what happened to the cousin though. She was sweet.

I searched and read the novel just to understand that. There was a third girl who liked the ex back in school. The mistress girl bullied her so badly that she went in to deep depression and left school. Never recovered. Ultimately killed herself later on. Her father had crashed in to the car of the ex in anger. Ex trying to save himself turned the car which got the mistress girl injured. Basically it was their own drama, nothing to do with the FL. She had no role in it nor any knowledge what went on. However incidentally that dead girl got scholarship from a foundation created by FL's parents in her name. The foundation had to be closed soon after due to technical problems. But FL didn't want the already chosen students to suffer due to sudden closer after initial donation. So she had forwarded remaining part from her personal account . That was the money trail Ex had. FL could totally explain it if he ever showed her, the so called evidence he had against her. But he didn't. He assumed she must have done it. And suppressed the evidence. If Ex had investigated more clearly or had let police handle it, FL's name would be cleared. Instead he ran with one transaction without checking any further details and went on accusing her. FL didn't know the students she helped, personally. She only learned about the girl, her being bullied and her death after ML started running her family business for her. His assistant was going through accounts and found the transactions. Money given to her was returned to FL . So they checked out the person who returned the money and then learned that the girl was dead and the father was the guy who went to prison for car accident. Then ML put two and two together that this whole scholarship transaction was what ex thought money for the hit job. FL family was rich but the business declined after her parent's death. Her grandpa was too old and just keeping things afloat. She was in to music instead of business. That's why she didn't learn what might have happened on her own.
