I discovered your videos this past summer while re-taking Intermediate Algebra for the 3rd time - The first two times I just didn't apply myself. Have my College Algebra Final tomorrow and I just wanted to say thanks. Keep up the great work.
I too have to sit in a 2 hour algebra classes, twice a week. This short video has taught me wayyy more than what I've managed to grasp from class these past couple of weeks. Just thought I'd add that. So yeah thanks again :D
Doing a good job there, fellow math instructor. I’ve been doing this for 25 years.....and the method just doesn’t change......and the kids don’t either. Their faces just look different every year.
The best teachers of Maths and Science always seem to have an air of eccentricity about them, I think. Oh, they also sometimes end up writing to all intents and purposes vertically as opposed to horizontally. Ergo this chap has hit the nail on the head. Great work, and most appreciated.
I just have to say thank you so much. I have been sitting in my College Algebra class in total confusion and stressing about my final. I have learned more in this 17 minute video than I have in the last few weeks of class. Again, thank you
My Trigonometry teacher didn't teach my block section about this, and he made us take a test about it; even though I know nothing about this. So I'm really glad I watched this, and it made me view logarithms on a simpler level now! Thanks for this and keep it up!
I had to self learn all of this about 2 years ago, and understood it all and everything, but never had a good way to remember how to rearrange logs ahha. When I found this I was looking for something completely different, but saw how good a teacher he is, so decided to watch it anyway since I was taking a food break aha. really really good teacher, i'm at uni at the moment doing electrical engineering, struggling with the maths because i never had a good maths teacher that explained things so you could understand through school, college or sixth form. It's really important to understand this stuff early, so you're doing a good service sir, keep it up (Y).
+INeed333Quid how's it going in maths for you? I am going to start electrical engineering in a few months and I had poor math teachers in the past as well.
i'm a college freshman and just watched both videos on logarithms and this literally made no sense to me in all my four years until now. i have a test tomorrow that determines whether or not i pass :3 wish me luck and thanks so much for helping me. you did a lot better job than my professor.
I have never seen such a understanding and sympathetic MATH teacher. You make sure everyone understands every step of the way, which is so nice to see nowadays.
You sir, are a god! Ive been using your videos as my aid and it's been helping me through this. What's funny is that we have a break in between classes, and once the teacher leaves the room, we pop open TH-cam and watch your explanation. Thank you! And please keep doing what you're doing!
I have a test on Tuesday on logorithms and exponents (and probability) and this video has been an incredibly helpful review. I wish I were in your class - we have fun too, and a great teacher, but you make it so simple. Maybe now I will pass :D Although, our questions are a bit harder, so applying the theory might still be difficult.
Thank you so much! I just got out of the military and am taking my first Math class in 15 years (precalculus...wtf), and I was really having trouble. I found your TED lecture and video series, and now I'm not just passing my class, but I have conquered the anxiety, and I actually enjoy the challenge of solving the equations! Thank you again, and keep up the good work! You make me want to be a teacher.
Math is awesome when you teach. Your students are lucky to have you and will be thanking you when they start uni and don't have to fake it and watch youtube videos for several hours every evening.
Thank you so much for posting these videos! I am drowning in my college level precalc class because these are all concepts that I should already know but have forgotten in the last 10 years. This is a perfect refresher!
Oh my goodness, I love you right now. I've never had a math teacher I actually thought related to me. Thank you for going slow and building your way up to the harder stuff, math can be easy AND FUN if taught in the right way. Keep it up :)
i understood what you were doing and saying! The way you explain it is so simple and it makes it easy to understand! I wish my teacher would explain things the same way! You're a life saver! Thank you!
This guy is great for people with attention deficit disorder, kids with ADD or ADHD could certainly pay attention to this guy and absorb everything he has to say.
I'm so happy I found your videos they are so helpful. I'm being completely serious, it's 9:30 at night and I have a test tomorrow on this stuff. Lets just say i've learned more from you in the past 30 minutes then I have from teacher in the past week.
Don't say that to yourself girl, You're good, you're brilliant, you can do it. Please just try and speak positive about yourself, even me I was a victim of that, but I'm out of it. Just believe in yourself okay, you can always do it.
Dang why don't I ever get teachers like you? Lol if I'm not interested or my attention isnt captured like this I don't put too much effort to learn in class. This is how I ended up here. Thank you very much for all your help and humor. YAY MATH!
thank you so much. you just made me not fail haha. my class doesn't have a teacher so we rely on internet tutorials and yours has just been my lord and savior
I wish I have a teacher like that ..!!! I understood everything. .those guys have no idea of how lucky they are ! My teacher doesn't even speaks English and even in Spanish , people doesn't understand him... I really want to learn ...
Just logged in to tell you how much of a big help you were. In a short 17 min video you explained something that my teacher explained in a very weird way. So thank you for all the help you've been. Wish you were my teacher :D
OMG--meeting B^e=N was the one "shortcut" that made it all make sense at last. My textbook had b^x=y, and then all these bubbles below to explain what each component meant. It was classic forest for the trees stuff, when they could have been this straightforward.
You really explained it well. I'm just getting ahead of the class because stuff is easy right now (for me) now I can make it easier, this is a nice tool.
I am understanding the material and I find it very cool to learn. These videos really help! Thank you yaymath! One of the best things is that the students ask some of the questions I would be asking for clarification.
The locational spherical inward absorption density and outward emission density of electromagnetic waves is forming antimatter matter annihilation, input+0/1-output electric charge and EM-fields, "resonance and interference or Logarithmic and expontential" equations as time unfolds! All information recorded electrically via two equal pairs of opposite expression. Each cancels the other out in cyclic periodicities. Each then becomes what the other was. Now is a moment of emission or acceleration
I don't understand how you went from 1/9 parentheses m to 9 -1 parentheses m. Please refer me to another video if you don't have time to respond to comments. Thank you very much. Any other commenter that can help I would greatly appreciate it. I obviously missed the video where he explained. This is getting exciting though Yaymath teacher is the best Ive seen or heard this is life changing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First video didn't was cut short but thank you so much for posting full vids. I can not thank you enough. I was so upset but now i'm very happy you guys rock!
Love it... you explained everything I wanted to know... finals week is here and this is one tough cookie to get... but i got it... thanks im good in English just not in math.... so i hate math.... but you answered all my questions
Thanks now I get it. If I had found these videos earlier I might have passed 1st semester of Algebra 2. I'm hoping with these videos I'll be able to pass second semester.
seriously why arent you my math teacher? mine ask us why we dont know things she havent explain to us, and even gets reeaaallyy angry because of that. you saved my life! thank you sir
Any similar questions as 5^n-3 = 1/25 can be easily derived using ln. With the use of ln, n-3 = ln(1/25)/ln5 n-3=-2 n=1 So my question here is, is there a reason that stops you from arriving at the answer using an easier method, or is it simply not in the syllabus?
Thank you! I like the "introduction to BEN" (B^E=N). That helps SOOO much. Just like the story about a boy helped with memorizing the quadratic equation.
did anyone notice that when he rewrote the problem 5^n-3=1/25, he wrote it incorrectly. he wrote 1/125. i just saw that. you are a really good teacher by the way. i wish all teachers made things this easy to understand. thank you.
Any way you can be my math teacher for all of my maths ? . Today math teachers make it harder then what it really is, and most of them don't even enjoy teaching making it even harder for us to learn. This guy likes math and he likes teaching it. Thank you so much
Vibrating energy is motion! Wave-center's of matter are opposited motion simulating rest and balance now through violent motion! Everything is two opposing Fibonacci vorticies! Only difference between solids, liquids, gases and plasma is Volume! All direction is spherically curved. Electrical potential is the same as future potential. Everything is formed by the locational spherical inward logarithmic absorption density and outward exponential emission density of electromagnetic waves!
Change the base of 4 to 2^2. 2^2(x-6) becomes 2^(2x-12). Since you have 2 as the base on both sides of the equation, you can set the exponents equal to each other. 4x = 2x-12. Solve that and you get x = -6.
There's always that one guy in class: "What was the question?" 3:04
I discovered your videos this past summer while re-taking Intermediate Algebra for the 3rd time - The first two times I just didn't apply myself.
Have my College Algebra Final tomorrow and I just wanted to say thanks.

Hi Christine, thanks so much for your message. I'm happy you added :-)
I could visit your school, if your school arranges for speakers
+yaymath can you visit my school? P.S i live in sweden....... Kappa
yaymath bro you are awesome! Thanks again
You taught me more in 17 mins than my teacher has taught me all year!!!
yes yes
I was completely lost in class and I understand this completely now thank you so much :) you saved my pre calc grade.
Doing a good job there, fellow math instructor. I’ve been doing this for 25 years.....and the method just doesn’t change......and the kids don’t either. Their faces just look different every year.
Math is timeless, even though new concepts are being discovered every new generation. Thanks for your message, John. Honored to be your colleague.
The best teachers of Maths and Science always seem to have an air of eccentricity about them, I think. Oh, they also sometimes end up writing to all intents and purposes vertically as opposed to horizontally. Ergo this chap has hit the nail on the head.
Great work, and most appreciated.
Thanks to you, I scored a 36 on the math portion of the ACT. Thank you. :)
Hi Olivia, GREAT JOB! Such great news!
I just have to say thank you so much. I have been sitting in my College Algebra class in total confusion and stressing about my final. I have learned more in this 17 minute video than I have in the last few weeks of class. Again, thank you

THANKS TO YAY MATH FOR HELPING ME PASS ENGLISH TOLC-E EXAM IN ITALY
NICE
i'm a college freshman and just watched both videos on logarithms and this literally made no sense to me in all my four years until now. i have a test tomorrow that determines whether or not i pass :3 wish me luck and thanks so much for helping me. you did a lot better job than my professor.
wow i understood more in your 17-minute lecture than an hour's worth of my math teacher. thank you so much!
I have never seen such a understanding and sympathetic MATH teacher. You make sure everyone understands every step of the way, which is so nice to see nowadays.

Yaymath= math teacher intensified
You're so very welcome. It's an honor to create something that helps you.
Math is awesome when you teach. Your students are lucky to have you and will be thanking you when they start uni and don't have to fake it and watch youtube videos for several hours every evening.
I am so grateful for your videos! You teach this subject so much clearer than my college professor.
I know you get this all the time but you really are a life saver. As a student, and as a teacher - thank you.
These videos are great. I take Math 124 in College and these videos help me more than my "professor" ! Thank you
i understood what you were doing and saying!
This helped to understand the basis of this topic, and I'm 47, in a college math class, and this is entirely new to me. Thank you.
I love all the examples you showed in the video, this'll surely help with my math final tomorrow! Thank you!
I'm so happy I found your videos they are so helpful. I'm being completely serious, it's 9:30 at night and I have a test tomorrow on this stuff. Lets just say i've learned more from you in the past 30 minutes then I have from teacher in the past week.
Bro is single-handedly saving my grades
Credit to you, for doing the work!!
I understood everything so well but I bet I will forget everything when the test comes. that's my life -.-
Don't say that to yourself girl, You're good, you're brilliant, you can do it. Please just try and speak positive about yourself, even me I was a victim of that, but I'm out of it. Just believe in yourself okay, you can always do it.
all of your log videos were extremely helpful... I scored 100 on my math exam and I know I couldn't of done it without you. Thankyou so much :)
I think your videos are both extremely helpful and entertaining. Thanks for sharing these lectures with us.
You are an awesome teacher! Thank you so much for sharing yourself with the rest of the world!
In the problem on the left at 8:19, 1/125 should be converted to 1/5^3
i wish i could have a Prof like you.. you can explain everything fluently..
REPLACE MY PROF.
Thank you yayMath you always have the solution of my problems.... I love your videos and I like the way you teach!!!
Teaching math is boring without fun. Credits to this teacher.
AKOSI gab teaching without fun in general is not fun smart one.
Ben is a lifesaver!
THIS GUY IS SUCH A GOOD TEACHER!
Watching this before my final cause I don't know what the fuck this is
same
+Kevin Martinez, Same here xD
same lmao
bro 😂
same at 2018 hehehe
Excelente, muy fácil de aprender. ¡Felicidades! Saludos, desde Managua, Nicaragua.
I've never smiled so much while simultaneously enjoying a math video.
I just learned more in 17 minutes than what I did in my two hour college algebra class yesterday. Thank you so much!
Thank you, James! You're very welcome. I would love to be your teacher too, perhaps we can arrange a visit to your school?
Dang why don't I ever get teachers like you? Lol if I'm not interested or my attention isnt captured like this I don't put too much effort to learn in class. This is how I ended up here. Thank you very much for all your help and humor. YAY MATH!

I like how you teach to a live classroom. It really gives you alot of credibility
Amazing teacher! Love his personality too!
yaymath I wish you were my math teacher in high school. You make every math problem less intimidating.
Thank you. I am in college algebra and was looking for a no nonsense refresher and found it. Thanks again.
Best teacher ever. Thank you so much. Not to many teacher explain like you.. 💯

I really appreciated your teaching process, real you are a good teacher
very knowledgeable, the reason he can make math fun. he don' t have to concentrate ,and this makes room for the humor ,that students enjoy!
Thanks now I get it. If I had found these videos earlier I might have passed 1st semester of Algebra 2. I'm hoping with these videos I'll be able to pass second semester.
Wow! really enjoyed your teaching, especially your BEN formula made it so simple for me
Bless you i have a quiz tomorrow and this just saved my whole soul

this teacher is a genius, thank you so much now i understand logs
Hey Sir you are the best. Thanks for teaching is us, I simply watch your teachings on TH-cam , If you have website let us know , please, thanks again
He does have a website with even more videos at www.yaymath.org. I use this website all the time for my online Algebra I class.
The description says yay math.org.
Woops. That's what I meant haha, that website helps me a lot.
There I just edited it.
I have been watching your videos since my d math level , and now am in college level and I still search videos for your explanation. Thank u .
your the best teacher....my math teacher sucks lol
Dude thank you very much. Been having problems with that rule and my name is BEN so never gonna forget it. Thanks
Your math class really loves you!
Sir you are one of the best teacher I ever saw !! and your explanation are EXCELLENT !! and seriously thank you so much. Sir you helped me alot !!! :)
Thank you for being an awesome teacher! So helpful

Very helpful video. How would you solve this problem: b^x * b^(2x-1)=b^11 Solve for x
Change the base of 4 to 2^2. 2^2(x-6) becomes 2^(2x-12). Since you have 2 as the base on both sides of the equation, you can set the exponents equal to each other. 4x = 2x-12. Solve that and you get x = -6.
This guy is the math wizard 💁
very useful...and easy to understand...Thank u for sharing this video...
