can you do a video on the current practical? this one is based on the practical that goes into effect July 2021. The current practical is even more confusing now with the new changes due to Covid. >_
Hello! I am currently an esthi student and today is my test out day!!! Your video was extremely helpful! 💕🤗💕🤗 Thankyou for posting ! Will definitely watch periodically as I wait for state board!! Thankyou !
Apparently this version of the test goes into effect July 1st 2021!! DO NOT FOLLOW this test if you are taking your exam before July 1st, do what your school is teaching you :)
This practical looks like the new exam but everything I have read states it goes into effect beginning July 1, 2021. Curious if you have already tested and were given this new exam? 25 mins for basic facial versus the steps being broken into individual portions (cleansing, exfoliation, etc)
@@Yunbuchabayung yes I passed 😊😊 just study, flash cards really helped me and the practice exam you can purchase through the NCI really helped me. It's on their site through exam tools. Good luck!
No SMA’s???? You just set up on the table? We learned in school to put a white towel down and then SMA’s for cotton balls and other products? Now I’m incredibly confused.
A couple questions & thank you for this video!! 1. can you clean as you go instead of having all the products on the table? 2. Can you have SMA’s (paper towels) to be a bit more organized when you’re setting up? 3. Is there a set up table instead of having 1 table?
Help me understand... we do not treat the eyebrow after waxing however we apply antiseptic AND post epilation solution to the eyebrow after tweezing? I believe they are expecting students to preform both services to the same eye as one would in a real service.
My test is scheduled beginning of June. I’m a licensed Esthi from Arizona and the way we learned was to treat the eyebrow is to apply antiseptic and post epillation to the eyebrow after waxing and after tweezing. Help I’m so anxious about this exam :(
@@almasgelyana7596 The directions read the same eyebrow. Sanitize hands, put on gloves. Treat the brow with antiseptic and dry, test the wax on wrist, apply and remove the wax to client's eyebrow. Tweeze three hairs from the same eyebrow you are already working on. clean up eyebrow with post epilation and antiseptic. remove gloves, sanitize hands. It is to simulate the steps as you would a normal client. Good luck with your test. 👑
@@almasgelyana7596 you only need to apply post epilation after waxing. Just antiseptic post tweeze. In this situation it is antiseptic, dry, test wax, wax service, tweeze, post epilation, anticepti, remove gloves, sanitize hands.
Is there a breakdown of how the kit should be set up? I have my old kit from testing in another state rather than paying for the kit rental but want to make sure it is set up correctly for California
also - why do you have to pretend to sharpen the pencil? do they not allow sharpeners in this exam? i used an actual sharpener in MA, we also used bowls or water and sponges so removing product with a tissue seems so strange
This is for CALIFORNIA! :)
Is this similar to Arizona?
Great techniques!! 👏 very helpful!🫸🫷

I was taught the way shown in the video since you already cleaned the table you can just set the things down since its clean

At State Board you will have your work area table and also a table where you put your universal supplies.
You are supposed to have an SMA, I don't know why she doesn't have one.
@@michellemedina1587 yeah i had SMA’s in my kit lol

why would you do post epi for tweezed brow and not waxed, that is incorrect
Because its the same eyebrow. When we wax in real world, we tweeze after and the apply post-epi.
