Koko lay ko is being screamed wake up
( koko le ko- mimicking the sound of rosters )
Oh lahe oh lahe is being heard let's go
(Oh la he is a phrase often used by monpas while working to sort of motivating themselfs and helps to sync with fellow workers)
Hurry up pack the lunch!
the ara and prepare the bangchang
(Those are the names of the local alcohol)
Prepare the pickle and some leafy salad.
Pack the KOTA and yangla
(Those are the names of ploughing tools)
All the lady friends are called
And all the guy friends are called
Come quick even if you are a wage worker or wanting to help
( as people help each other...sort of unofficial deal if one helps the other..the favour is paid back ..)
...they are said to come quick 😅 cause farmers there in tawang leave the house for farm as early as 7 am sometimes even 6 during the seasons)
