this is an evolution of many attempts, as he found the “true sound “ it repeated the chord and ended , a great end for this. I regard it as very good experimental music
@@MIDIPipe nice. Murail i saw everyday eating at the university in Salzburg ;) unique personality, very introvert and "misplaced". I did a piece in this sense, Screams of Neptune, on terminal passage channel
This piece is based upon the so-called ' "spectral" technique, which intends to play with the most basic components of the sound itself, its harmonic spectrum in particular. After the premature deajh of Gérard Grisey, Tristan Murail became the leader de facto of that school. But theory is one thing, how it is apllied to the music is another issue. Here, the result is quite odd, but in my opinion very convincing. .Tristan Mural ranks among bthe present best composers - at least in my opinion.
I agree with your opinion about the Music of Murail But I think that he is only the leader.of the french spectral school. In Romania the spectral music is too important, with Dumitrescu, Ioachimescu, Anamaria Avram and Horațiu Rădulescu (both dead too). Georg Friedrich Haas is maybe too a spectral composer. In fact I don`t know if this school is really existing or they are some composers with own individuality.
This imitates pre-digital sounding music; the maracas give the illusion of the magnetic tapes white noise interference with ... something. Analog recording, feed-back, analytical observations of sound matter. A failed attempt to dissociate human intuition from the spontaneous, chaotic, freethinking spasm of creativity. But, I think the music is fine. 🤓
Phantastic work and phantastic performance. Thank you for sharing.
so exquisitely beautiful! one of my favorite pieces from Murail!
Très intéressant.

Every attempt to liberate one self will have its own reaction, this score is just part of that reaction
