Gene could sing the phone book. I saw him for my birthday and he hasn’t missed a note. Love him to death. Did 7 concerts last year and this year his Texas concerts are sold out.
Saw Gene Watson in Branson where they taped Larry's Country Diner. Sang the Last Party. Said he was going to be 80 next week. July of 2023. Admitted he is from Paris, TX. I have seen him in Huntsville, TX too. Used to come to the Lakeview Club in Bryan in the 1970's. Dancehall Fun!
@@Genewatsons well i must confess sir that it hasn't been but a few years since i came to really appreciate your talent. i've known who you were for decades but i was a totally different human being who couldn't appreciate any form of music really other than heavy metal, hard rock and southern rock. i don't even want to hear much of that stuff nowadays and i've started enjoying talent and lyrics as well from my country roots as a kid in the 70's listening to the opry with my old man. thanks again sir.
