    L = means light-switching
    D = means dark-switching
    Enclosed you´ll find the output signal in correlation to L/D and the detection status.
    Thank you very much.

    how does is work actually? what happend inside the sensor when i turn the Q button??

      The Q button (potentiometer) allows a quick and easy adjustment of the sensing distance. By turning the potentiometer to the right you increase the sensing distance and by turning it to the left you minimize it.The W280L-2 Long Range family has two sensor versions: with one or two potentiometers. The version with two potentiometers allows you to set two switching points independently of each other, e.g. at 1 and at 3 meter. Each potentiometer is assigned a separate LED display

      OK, this is fine. but what happend inside the sensor? there is a mirror the Q button "manage" it and increase/decrease the range of the laser from detecting the object?
      thnx a lot.

      How is it compared to ultrasonic sensor in case of outdoor application?
      We are using leuze ultrasonic sensor at present, they are expensive but immune to light, dust etc.
      How about these??
