Next time, buy a level at Home Depot, use and then return it with its original packing material and tell them you do not need it and ask for a refund. You are returning something that is brand new, and handled about as much or less than customers do in the store.

IT doesn't, I used it before they are awesome, you just goto peel it off but it didn't damage the paint, on my wall at least.
