I'm not really sure what the purpose here was, it seems like the blade man is contaminating the base rock. And why don't you guys use bottom dumps to haul rock, then you don't have to push it so far?
@@kutispwet6441 well if you watch him he's curling up soil into the base rock. Typically, we try to avoid that, you see, the idea is to move the rock out of the way, then regrade the road, compact it, and then spread the rock on top. Another method is to mix the rock into the soil to help stabilize it, regrade, and compact. Then lay your new "virgin" rock on top. The purpose is to keep expanding and semi expansive soil out of the rock, otherwise it will move or pump when it gets wet. That's why a roadway needs to be designed, because there's so many factors in play that must be addressed. I hope that helps, feel free to ask me any other questions you may have.
