- Welcome to my in-depth review of the Spyderco Para 3 pocket knife! In this video, I’ll be putting this popular EDC knife through its paces and sharing my thoughts on its design, build quality, performance, and overall utility. We’ll take a close look at the compact size, the ergonomic G-10 handle, and the variety of available steals, depending on the version of knife you choose. I talk about its cutting capabilities, discuss the smooth deployment mechanism, and evaluate its size and weight for everyday carry. Whether you’re a seasoned knife enthusiast or someone looking for the perfect everyday tool, this review will help you make an informed decision about adding the Spyderco Para 3 to your collection. Don’t forget to hit the like button, subscribe for more gear reviews, and let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Collectionneur depuis pas mal d'année je suis d'accord, il frôle la perfection, un des rare à garder parmis tant d'autre.
Thanks! I own a Para3 and LOVE it! ❤
Дякую за гарний огляд ! 🤝👍
Grabbed both 10v para3’s and they are very nice knives 👍🏻
Awesome! Just bought one yesterday and am really enjoying it. Thanks for your review!
I own two PM 2’s and they have been my primary edc for a couple years and after seeing so many great reviews for the Para 3 and so many steel choices I decided to purchase one. For only having the knife less than a week, I can say without a doubt that knowing what I know now , I would have purchased this knife before purchasing the PM 2. I am in no way saying this knife is better than the PM 2 but for me, it’s a much more comfortable knife to use and carry. Just like the PM 2, the Para 3 has a buttery smooth action and feels really good in your hand. I bought my para 3 from Blade HQ and they had it priced right and on my porch in 3 days! What else can you ask for?
Para 3 Lightweight review coming soon. ;)
Awesome video as always brother 👍
Thanks so much!
Thicker scales fit the hand better (but less well in the pocket). I don’t want my knives to be too thin, i.e. much under 1/2” except on very small knives, in fact, I like them best around 0.55-0.65, and I don’t have very big hands. I like the size of the Para 3! It fits my hand PERFECTLY, so much so in fact, I am collecting mostly Para 3s right now (and planning to sell off about half my collection). I like cutting back, not going so much overboard! I have too many knives. I think I could settle just for these…
I never could figure out why they pinned the stop bar instead of a traditional standoff with screws like the pm2
One need not fear corrosion on Maxamet, even if you live in Florida! Maxamet, in my experience, doesn’t rust so much as it turns gray. If you maintain a Maxamet knife, by keeping it clean and maybe using a little metal polish on the blade, and it is also kept lightly oiled, it will just get gray and grayer. I LIKE the patina that forms on Maxamet!
That said, I’m sure it WILL rust, if it is stored in a damp environment, or is poorly maintained.
I’ve been into knives for 25 years and have multiples of the big 3 CRK, Strider, Hinderer, as well as other well known mid techs and Benchmade and other spydies. Once I got the para 3, I’ve carried it exclusively for the last 2.5 years. I think I’ve found the perfect knife.
Great review, thank you
It's not hard to remove the scales from the lanyard tube. I installed backspacers on my para 3 and PM2 and the scales came off pretty easy. All you have to do is rock them back and forth while pulling. Reinstalling was easy too with a pair of pliers
I live in Titusville FL, and work in and out side, and honestly never have a rust issue with any of my knives, I think just using them is most important,
I have one in s45vn. I like it.
Just picked this up and it's 45V think I went with over kill
Why would it be overkill? Just curious 🤔
s45vn is overkill? thats like the most basic steel now a days
BIg fan of the maxamet version myself, patinas really nice which looks great with well worn micarta.
Mine started spotting so I boiled it in apple cider vinegar lol looks good too and hasn’t corroded since .
Easy knife to work on. The only thing is the lanyard hole. Just use a thin screwdriver between the liner and scale and wiggle it a bit. No sweat👍🏻 blade swaps are easy as pie.
Hey, thanks for the video.
It would be nice to see comparing this knife to other options in same size/price range.
Why is it better than Bogout?
Why would you choose it over Demco or Civivi?
Why it beats Hogue Deka in your opinion?
Keep on going! ;)
maybe he could compare to all the knives in the world, cool
Theses 2 10v models will probably be very valuable in the future also👍🏻
Very good thinking I make a living off reselling old pristine knives
Just ordered the para 3 salt in magnacut. I’m assuming you will do the same.
No! I actually have the Manax 2 MAGNACUT. I don’t like the para 3 LW. Waiting on the Para 3 MAGNACUT DLC to be announced.
@@JadeGeminiM39010v is going to provide a much better edge/cutting experience for a knife of this size than Magnacut. I’d only get the Magnacut if you’re a collector or you need higher corrosion resistance.
I took sand paper to round off my corners. Started with 600 and worked up to 1500 all the way around.
magnacut coming out soon! dlc black on black
i like your size comparison
I like the Para 3s/PM2s because 1) the Para 3 fits my hand perfectly, 2) because the action can be adjusted to be EXCELLENT, 3) because Spyderco offers essentially the same 2 knives in a large variety of exotic and common steels, 4) because they are MADE for owner customization, with off the shelf parts, which are 5) available in a large variety of forms… I have a total of about 17 P3s/PM2s, in all the best super steels, all well-customized with metal (Cu, Ti, brass) plus CF handles, backspacers, pocket clips and lanyard tube plugs. I believe I have overcome the chief shortcoming of these knives, factory G-10 handles, making great knives even better!
The Para 3’s alright, but I MUCH prefer the Lil’ Temperance 3, (much stronger blade, longer cutting edge).
Love it!
It’s too small. IMO. Have lots of them and like them just don’t carry them often. Now the military 2 is my edc and a native 5 lw serrated maganacut that is my work knife. Great little work knife.
Where you get this color way ?
This was a Rivers Edge Cutlery exclusive
Anyway you can put a link to this exact knife
I prefer the delica 😄
Military 2 is great also.
The only thing I don’t like about the para 3 is that people call it the paramilitary 3
10V❤🎉🎉
Right, your political side is thinking “I want to support AMERICAN business and workers if I can, and if they can produce a good product.” American producers make some of the best knives in the world, so it makes perfect sense that we would buy them and promote them.
Somebody gave a knife the Glock grip angle! 😭
Most exclusives are cheaper than production.
The only thing better than a Para3 in 10V is a Para2 in 15V! As an AUG-owner I found your ergo-analogy comical. I think the AUG is the least ergo modern rifle.
Sorry I’m a sucker for is. Maybe one day.
Hard to take apart? Other than the 3 screws in the clip its what a few screws if that? Hard to tune? Wow never take anything apart in your life then with more than one screw 😂 Also I have 30 spydercos or very close to and my friends all have tonnage and Ive never seen a non centered para 3 or 2 or manax…. Now Ive seen the cheaper lw models be off by so tiny it may just be your eyes…… just saying man you’re scraping for “petty”
My experience is different . Had over 200 plus knives from all different brands. They are harder for me. That’s my experience. Oh well. 🤝
GOAT IS A DUMMY WORD .. the cream lol
Nice Video, but open and close 1000 times ...! 😡😡😡
....it's a knife video about a knife which happens to be a folding knife....of course... it opens and closes.... 😅
