Hey guys, Little_l here. Thanks for joining me today on this fine evening as we discuss the different methods of traveling in the 2017 Nintendo Switch and Wii U game titled "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild". Join me as I list 10 different ways of traversing the vast lands of Hyrule and how they correlate with your public demeanor. Please note, this video is only for educational purposes along with some comedic tones thrown about here and there, with that out of the way, let's dive into this comprehensive discussion about Breath of the Wild's wide variety of travel methods.

I’d like to add one of my own favourites: floating down stream. It involves getting into a flowing body of water and then doing nothing. No swimming, no changing direction, just letting the river carry you and seeing where you end up.

Omg yes, my horse got killed in a bokoblin ambush and I literally stopped what I was doing, and stared going, “Dusty no!” Until I got attacked again and instantly went rage mode and murdered every single enemy in that ambush with no regards to how much damage I was taking. I then ran to the horse god fountain and revived him and cried and apologized and gave him apples

I still remember when my first horse died. BOTW is my introduction to the Zelda franchise, and I had managed to avoid any and all spoilers. Basically, I went into the game blind. When I encountered my first guardian that could move, I was on horseback. I tried desperately to outrun it, but it ended up shooting and killing my horse. I didn't know you could revive horses at the time, and I was so distraught that I had to pause the game and take a break for like 20 minutes before going back to my switch and just staring at the screen, wondering what the heck I was supposed to do. Eventually one of my friends told me there was a way to revive horses, but I was still trying to do everything in the game without looking up stuff online, so I basically spent the rest of the game on a revenge quest seeking this so called "horse god." I eventually found them, and revived my first horse. Afterwards, I rode my horse back to the stable, where he has stayed in retirement ever since. I found a new horse that has better stats and I refuse to approach guardians on horseback now.

Fun fact: shield surfing on map drawn dirt paths will not decrease your shield durability. You can test this from the Hateno Observatory all the way down to the little bridge next to the Inn
Edit; Bumps still damage your shield so you might want to avoid them and use a shield with less friction like the Mind's eye shield, the ancient shield or the Radiant shield.

The horse part of the video is so true: I love travelling on horseback. Also, I still have my first horse, and it actually has a fun story behind it. Her name is Moonshade (at least, I headcanon her as a mare), and she was a grey dapple. One day, the Guardians killed her during a game over: Luckily, I had saved beforehand, so no real harm done, and I was so happy to just see that she was okay when I respawned. But needless to say: that moment practically turned me into the Doomslayer, only with Guardians as my preferred target instead of demons. I have the Ancient Armor set and master sword unlocked, so I just legit go out of my way to kill a Guardian whenever I see one. I mean, I would've frankly been more angry if they had actually forced me to take a trip to the fairy fountain where you can revive horses, and Moonshade is retired to the stable now. But still: what the Guardians did was unforgivable. Gotta wonder if they'll make an appearance in TOTK: I've recently pre-ordered it, and I'm so curious about what kind of enemies I'll get to terrorize.

I think it would be awesome if depending on when you fight Ganondorf changes his strength. For example he would be weaker with out a blood moon then he is with a blood moon. So if you fight him during a blood moon he will be stronger than if you fight him after the blood moon has passed. And if that is the case then I hope that it will also work the same way for all the Bosses and monsters in the game.

My 3 favorite ways to travel are the master cycle, walking, and boko bounce wind bombing. The master cycle is number one cuz when wearing the ancient greaves, I like to think that it's robot legs and the legs can turn into a bike like a generator rex type deal. Walking is my second favorite cuz the scenery of botw is STILL breathtaking, and boko bounce wind bombing is just wacky.
Boko bounce wind bombing is taking btb (bullet time bounce) and using the wind bomb technique to gain distance and maintain altitude. The btb is just my preferred set up for say going from the top of death mountain to say the edge of gerudo town without hitting the ground

Sometimes i just get on my horse and aimlessly wander around the paths. I love horse riding. It‘s so relaxing and since the horse follows the paths on it‘s own you can just lean back and enjoy the scenery.
I still had my first horse for a long time, but sadly i some day farmed for the fastest horses and accidentally freed it, so no first horse for me anymore. :(
I do enjoy shield surfing very much, though i only do that as a hobby in between, not to get around.
And yeah, gliding is a no brainer. Best and most efficient „normal“ travel method ever in my opinion.

I really enjoy using horses, because I like to role-play, like being an adventurer and moving around in Hyrule like other NPC
You can move slowly, looking at the landscape, going fast or at a medium pace, it is however you want it to be, you can even let your horse by himself as he will follow the path (which is an amazing feature) unless you have a joicon drift on both stick just like me so you have to manually move the character and the camera or else it will be a nightmare...
I think I might start a new file over my main file to do a "No Teleportation" challenge and only using horses/walking/paraglider and no glitches (do people already did challenge like that ? All I can find is basic run or using only one type of equipment)

As an avid walker in every game, it is not about exploration, let me tell you. It is about satisfying that hoarder mentality and collecting EVERYTHING. To the point you specifically do so in sneak buff so the lizards and bugs don’t run away from you doing a fly by.

I've never done a windbomb, but the moment I learned BLSS, there was no going back.

I use the Master Cycle Zero to have hilarious chases with guardians at Hyrule Castle since I just love torturing them since when I first encountered them they killed me like 800 bazillion times

When my dad played the game, he named almost every horse he tamed “Epona”. We’d have running joke where we say things like “I like Epona.” “Epona’s way better!”

Not only do I ride the same horse I got at Dueling Peaks when they teach you how to catch horses, every time I replay the game I search that area for the exact same blue horse with a white nose and dark feet.

the reason why I like riding horses in botw/totk is because it makes me feel safe from having to deal with monsters and I could just flee away fast easily.

    You forgot, whistle sprint.
I use that constantly, I can run up steep slopes and cheat my way up difficult inclines.

Okay, but I do all, just whichever I am feeling at the time, except horse, I don't ride my horse much because of a combination of not wanting my horse to get hurt in any way, and liking the master cycle

btbs and stasis launches are my way of saying "yeah im tryna be fast but i suck and i cant figure out how to windbomb"

  • @chiragmidha2878
    @chiragmidha2878 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I think a casual player is more likely to do a stasis launch than a wind bomb or bls. Or maybe they are too worried about durability, hording weapons can get rough sometimes in botw
