The point of modulating the VCF using audio from VCO 2 (in audio range) is to turn up the resonance to nearly self oscillation. This produces great formants, and vowel like sounds especially when playing low notes.
What cables and interface are you using to record this? No one has talked about what way to capture the beauty of this instrument most accurately. Great video.
I get a really weird digital buzzing sound when I turn up reverb. Does anybody else get that? I don't notice it with built in speakers but only when running the stereo outputs into the DAW. It's almost unusable its so noisy.
@@leise_im_kran Indeed, thanks! I’ve just realised that the melody is also used in the original Mad Max movie soundtrack, which I’ve watched a hundred times; that’s where it got stuck in my head. 😎
The Behringer because it has the LFO and portamento control that is found on the originals keyboard performance section built into the unit! Also Behringer offers two complex oscillators and one simple oscillator. The original and the korg one have 2 simple and one Complex OSC. Not delivering a dedicated keyboard with performance section meaning: "NO Portamento Control, NO LFO and NO Arpeggiator" was a rly bad decision from korg imho.
@@giver8144 thank you for the breakdown! Behringer sounds like the winner then. I have a boog model d for a few years now and I think it sounds and feels excellent

From what i gather, this thing sounds phenomenal

When will Korg actually release the damn thing?
We have had stock arrive in Australia already
What's the music played as an intro? I know it but can't remember where from! 🤔
One of Queen’s themes from the soundtrack for “Flash Gordon”.
Pretty sure it's supposed to be 'Mars, Bringer of War' from 'The Planets' by Gustav Holst
