Motoring entertainment, not journalism. And as much as I have enjoyed the show, towards the end and unfortunately in Grand Tour as well, it was way too much hollywoodism for my liking and the journalistic value was about as relevant as any mainstrem media outlet, which is utter rubbish. Matt Farah and Chris Harris are much better at the journalism thing but I dont think there'll ever be another iconic show centered around cars like these guys delivered through most of the Top Gear years. The fun is being completely sucked out of reach of most in the evolution of the industry.
The car did come with canvas doors but obviously had to be removed because the larger wheels got in the way and it would have been not much help anyway.

The Bentley was shockingly good and Clarkson definitely had the best time of the three, but it still had issues (the big one being the cooling issue). The concept behind the modded Caterham was proven to be the most sound. It just didn't consider the driver in the concept.
I dunno, he definitely had the car that I would have most wanted to be in if faced with the same challenge, but if you're talking about just the car, without consideration for the comfort of the driver, I think you have to give it to the Caterham.

The plot is always the same; James does something very underwhelming, Jeremy overdo it completely and then Richard seem to have outsmarted the others, but in the end it turns out that all three screwed up due to their foolishness.
I love how Clarkson is saying he did all that work on that car and in the meantime he probably only had some suggestions and some professional did all the work.
Good vehicle entertainment with a healthy budget. As usual Jeremy has the most comfortable environment, James has the opposite and somewhere in the middle for the 3rd Musketeer.
Here's the thing about buried pirate treasure. You've been sailing round the oceans, risking your life fighting with people to take their money and treasure. When you get home, what would you want to do with all that money? Maybe it's just me, but given the choice between spending it in a three week orgy of food, alcohol and women, or burying it, I wouldn't be looking for my shovel!
