I love cotton tops, as well. The down side is the fact they they look sloppy if not ironed, and I hate to iron. 😂 I live right on the New England coast, and spring here is chilly, then we go right to hot and humid. Boom, one day it's cold and the next is instant summer.
Lots of cute pieces. Your video has inspired me to go through my closet. Definitely need a dose of spring as it has been a crazy rollercoaster winter here and just this week we are expecting snow (again!) and then a day in the high fifties. Love the flutter sleeve top and most especially the leopard print flats. Isn’t it great how just slipping them on brings that little something special to an otherwise neutral outfit? I know it’s a bit off topic and you may already know but it was on my mind.. aged and smoked meats and cheeses have nitrates which are a huge migraine trigger. Fragrances can be too.

Being in Los Angeles (basically one season, lol), it makes it hard to cull my wardrobe because of the “just in case”/cold-hot-cold nature of our days, but I can definitely be more deliberate about what I want to include. I absolutely loved this video! I was excited to see your capsule wardrobe and loved your idea of showing us the outfits each day rather than just holding up the clothes. I unfortunately live in MN where we have had maybe 2 days in the 60's but otherwise still cold. I'm still wearing my winter jacket and double layers of clothes. I don't think I'll be going sleeveless till May which is my favorite type of clothing. My husband and I keep saying we would love to move somewhere warmer but our kids won't hear of it.
Sam Edelman shoes are good choices, super comfy and very well made. I love mine! Lucky brand also a good choice. My daughter is in very high fashion at Nordstrom, but she came up through many stores - she knows quality over name brand. I'm a thrifter and scan very quickly through clothes at thrift stores. I will not pay a set price for Walmart when I can get a better brand. I have worked retail and educated myself on "brands". - my first run through the clothes is color, what works best for me, next I see what the brand is and look at fabric content - thrifting is an art - be educated before you begin. I love your content, keep it up! Know what colors look best on you, don't deviate! I recommend the book, it's old, Color Me Beautiful. It has kept me from buying "mistakes".

I live in the southern tier of nys, it was 20 degrees yesterday and is supposed to be 65 degrees Thursday. Options in the wardrobe is a must.

They r good 4 the family 2 take from time 2 time! Usually sloth days happen around the Winter Holidays 4 us but anytime can b great 2! 😄

Love your channel, Hilary! Just a thought about your black skinnies- which look great on you- if you still like how they fit, etc, dyeing them to revive the colour can give them a whole new lifespan! Super inexpensive and easy- easier than finding a replacement 😁

I was going to ask what you do on days you don't go anywhere. My go to is just black yoga bottoms and a tshirt. Also, I think you could wear more form fitting items with your tiny frame. :)

it's still cold here for a few more days in East TN, and I find if I wear flats when it's cold, the tops of my feet turn purple! booties for me until it's WARM! I'm trying to make more of a capsule wardrobe , but t shirts always get me because they can be worn with everything, and I'm very casual 99% of the time. i also wear leggings often, and I can't clean in jeans.
I feel ya, it has to be 60 or higher for me to switch to flats. Fun fact we tossed around heading to TN for vaca since we’ve heard so many great things about it but ultimately it didn’t work out

I don’t use a recipe, just a mix of Greek yogurt, finely diced cucumbers, lemon juice, fresh grated garlic, salt and pepper and sometimes I’ll mix in a little tahini

Those tiny holes drive me crazy! I bought soft seat belt covers for car and so far I have not noticed holes in my t shirts. Hoping this solves that problem!
I think the shirts rub against the button on your pants and over time it causes the fabric in that one spot to fray.
@@cltinturkey I agree! That's why I'm hoping the seat belt covers will help. I also quit buying a lot of tee shirts especially the ones made of burnout fabric.
@@susanf4857 I hope that works for you. Burnout fabric is super fragile, so it's probably smart to stay away from it.

@@OldWorldHome I love your hair long. It’s pretty any length though. I find my long hair is easier to manage. It doesn’t go out of shape as quickly as a short style.

Yes still the same, it’s more of a lifestyle change than a diet. Still lots of meat and veggies and low carb and sugar

Most people DO have a capsule, the pieces they wear the most, and the rest kinda just sits there. If you picked out 20-30 of your favorite pieces and packed away the rest you’d probably not miss the extra things. If you do, go and “shop” your extras. Never know until you try 💛

Wow I would love to have you to come and help me purge I have like a 1000 pieces of clothes items and I have like 65 pair of shoes and I actually got rid of 6 industrial garbage bags full of clothes and about 30 pair of shoes But we have moved into a smaller house and my closet at my other house was 6' by 16' that's just a big closet and it was Field to the gills with clothes and lots of shoes I am a shoe person I buy a 6 to 8 pair of shoes a year and then I just don't want to get rid of Last year when we moved and I purged the 6th garbage bags my daughter's also purged a couple each so we went to the flea market for about 6 weeks selling the stuff before we moved every week and we made $400 a week in just ceiling our clothes and some household items So now that we are officially moved into our new home which is 1300 ft² smaller We need to purge some more so needless to say we are about to go through your clothing again and particularly 3 or 4 more garbage bags my Oldest daughter is having a yard sale so we are going to do it together and I really need to purge a lot the house i bought this time isn't only 1200 ft² but we do have a guest house and it is 700 ft² and the 700 ft² guest house is has massive paces of furniture and boxes plum to the ceiling it is completely full there is only a pathway through it and I also have and I also have a 32' by 12' building that is So for you can't even get through it so we are going to be doing lots and lots of purging because we moved from a very big home that we sold So say a little prayer that I can be strong like you and purge 80% of my things and only have about 50 pieces in my closet
