I have people in the music and arts scene hitting me up with their apps they want built, so I'm starting to look into how to get this freelance software development rolling and what the business and contract side of that is like. I work remotely and travel as a software engineer getting paid what I would consider a good salary. The next move for me is side hustle income and/or generating passive income, with the goal of one day being financially independent or at the very least no longer totally dependent on job income because who knows how long until a job well runs dry lol.
I am student who has alot of programming experience , but every job I find just asks for a diploma or a degree or wt ever , I can't do that , I can't find anything and it's seemingly impossible to stand out on fiver or wt ever
Hey sohaib, I've never tried a platform like Fiverr, but I would recommend Peter's second strategy in the video: leveraging your network. Like he said, posting on your socials or even just sending out an email to your friends and family can land you your first client. When I started my business, that's literally what I did - I just BCC'd everyone I knew on an email saying I'm available for hire and 7 days later I got my first client. The nice thing about your network, it you don't have to stand out against the world - you just have to stand out among your network and your friends and family know a lot about you already. Good luck with it!

Excited to hear about your journey! The Upwork inbound has been productive for me but agree with your points on when it might not be favorable.
Thanks man! Yeah, I remember you mentioning that you got some work via Upwork - glad for the reminder! :)
