This is BAD ASS rock at its best from The KING!!!!!!!! The instrumental ROCKS!
By the way, if you saw the Bad 25 documentary, the guitarist Steve Stevens (who features in this epic track, and played with Billy Idol) mentioned that Michael even wrote and sang the guitar part for him. He told Steve how to play the riffs and the solos, note for note. No joke! Michael was an absolute GENIUS and visionary in every sense of the word! He didn't even play guitar and knew how the guitar part should sound and what notes are to be phrased and executed. There will never be anyone like Michael Jackson again.
I also noticed this is the album version because there is an extra 10 seconds as you can hear the crowd more as the song slowly fades, as opposed to the single version.

yes, that's crazy - it was in his nature to hear how and what all the instruments should play! I recently watched parts of that mexico deposition, i think it was about that "the girl is mine" song featuring Paul. They played tapes that MJ recorded just after the song came into his mind. He taped (imitated) all the instruments he wanted in there with his own voice, just insane!
