This is BAD ASS rock at its best from The KING!!!!!!!! The instrumental ROCKS! By the way, if you saw the Bad 25 documentary, the guitarist Steve Stevens (who features in this epic track, and played with Billy Idol) mentioned that Michael even wrote and sang the guitar part for him. He told Steve how to play the riffs and the solos, note for note. No joke! Michael was an absolute GENIUS and visionary in every sense of the word! He didn't even play guitar and knew how the guitar part should sound and what notes are to be phrased and executed. There will never be anyone like Michael Jackson again. I also noticed this is the album version because there is an extra 10 seconds as you can hear the crowd more as the song slowly fades, as opposed to the single version.
yes, that's crazy - it was in his nature to hear how and what all the instruments should play! I recently watched parts of that mexico deposition, i think it was about that "the girl is mine" song featuring Paul. They played tapes that MJ recorded just after the song came into his mind. He taped (imitated) all the instruments he wanted in there with his own voice, just insane!
Like someone doing an acapella version of the guitar solos? I wonder if that also applies to the ray-gun at the end. (He'd start out with some kind of fast rhythmic scat, then get faster, and end with "pew-pew-pew".) They should find a recording of that.
@@noname-nobody1247 How did he come up with complex guitar solos and the several other sophisticated layers? You're attributing facets that Jacko didn't partake in.

Steve Stevens commented on this track that while people generally thought of Michael Jackson as a pop artist, this song was one example of him not just doing pop. "Give In To Me" on Dangerous later was another example of that. Also, worth listening to Adam Lee's cover of both songs.
