- Enjoy this video while Jillian, Goose and I explore Lake Harris of the Harris Chain Of lakes. We start out the Freedom Boat Club where I reserved and nice Hurrican Deck Boat. We check out Long Island, Horseshoe Island and Monkey Island. We could have not asked for better weather and we had a great day out on the water!

My wife and I just joined FBC in winter haven and are headed to Harris chain of lakes on Memorial Day so thank you for the cool locations to check out!
You’re very welcome. I’ll see you out in the water some time. The lakes on the Harris chain are so much larger than the Winter Haven Chain.

3 months in and we've been out on the water 35 days so far! Those deck boats are nice but we are too old and too fat lol we're all about the pontoon life now lol.
I love the bennington tri toons! Also a big fan of the Bayliner Trophy 22 and my favorite offshore is the 24' Sailfish cc ;)

I think German Shorthaired Pointers are the most beautiful dogs.
They really are beautiful dogs. But I have German Shepherds reserved for #1.
North end east side of long Island there's a cove. Full of baby alligators.
Monkey island is where the city of Leesburg use to set off the 4th of July fireworks

The 4 poles, at times a 5th pole with a rope to pull a net connected to the other 4 pole. They catch shiners for bass bait.

I catch & release bass on the Harris Chain. The shiner nets are privately owned. Hope people know it's not a good idea to pull or mess with the nets. I don't have nets out there, just saying they aren't public nets. 👍🏻

Behind the tree of life is a massive fallen limb.
Not now because it's to hot but early spring late fall go through Dora thru Beauclair to the appoka canel it also has a lock on it sorry about the spelling.

So.. can you swim in the water for just a bit to cool off? Going boating there for the first time and all I hear is ... gators, gators, gators !!
There are gators. But I went to the middle of the lake and jumped in. There’s some good sailing places on the little islands.
Water snake. Dog+swimming=Gator Bait!
Posts are remanence of fish traps.

Kevin you should have walked the North end. You can almost walk to the West side.
Maybe we will go back and walk. It seemed pretty peaceful.
@@OverlandFlorida also on the south end of Lil Lake Harris is the mouth of Double Run. Crystal clear water. Lots of debris though. On the way back on the West shore is Boondocks Restaurant. Awesome chow.
