Get the farm going with chickens and goats, grow vegetables you need to make the good MREs. I haven't played in a while, so I don't know what exactly they're called, but I would make a batch of those occasionally and it worked great.
Main branch I have great luck in the apartments. It may be a little buggy in the dev branch. A great place to raid then head to the trader to sell all the stuff you don't want. I'm really looking forward to the stuff in Dev going to live soon.
theres a unmarked town to the SE of the map hidden in trees away from a road... i have found tech there in the past and even the truck ( truck was a hard to get out due to the trees) lol
Make a garage for each vehicle. Make and fill the barn then just make MREs to eat. There's no point to eating anything prepared other than MREs. I eat 1 MRE per day and make a couple of food driers and keep them stocked with the extra meat from killing animals for livers, and just eat some of the farmed fruits and vegetables to keep topped up. No reason for a stove, canned food, etc, unless you want to for role playing.
I got many electronic parts on each of my multiple trips to the apartments. There was only one single time when I got none but the same thing happened to me in several other POIs too.
When I was younger, I used to play a lot of single player games. Just can't do it anymore. I get bored soooo fast. Running around with a couple old navy buddies and chatting while doing it just makes the game better these days.
I revisited the apartments on 11/23 and got 21 electrical parts over the whole poi. One was in a mailbox and at least one was in a vehicle. This is probably because I didn't need electrical parts at the time. I really needed mechanical parts, and got 3 or 5. ;-)
Kage can you try to put the big doors under the towers where you have the free space and see how it looks, you might like it. Also, I understand not looting food but you should keep looting healing items because they sell quite good. Great vid as always!
Thanks for the video! Hope the developer hear us about the clay extractor! If it helps you feel better about not finding electrical parts in this run, I still didn't find the truck even though I've been to almost every POI in the map. Of course I'm just very bad at searching and problably missed it, but now I'm gonna have to visit every place cause of this.
Greetings. If you put an arch in the dividing wall of your storage building you would save a lot of time not running around the end and jumping over the crates piled in front of the forges.
Lol "im not comming back to this town" i admit iv only been watchin kage for like a year but something tells me hell be back just to see if it was a case of bad luck
Sorry for all the suggestions. You know some days the old brain is better than others 😂😂 I think like street lights would be a cool addition. Your growing town would look cool light up at night
I think the vehicle shed should have an upgrade tab to add side shed for other vehicles then you could add like a push bike and other things. And add an upgrade mode to turn things into auto like fuel and saw add on for extra storage so u can leave for longer solo with no npc idk food for thought.
im sure you got really unlucky in the appartments Kage i have the same spot for a base as you, and last time i went to the appartments i came home with around 13-16 electrical parts so you must have been suuuuuuuuuper unlucky :P
It's the law of averages that you get any items you're looking for when looting the towns. The apartment blocks in particular tend to be a little more sparse than the more traditional styled towns, I find. So, the chances of getting electrical parts are going to be a bit lower. Not finding hardly any is a bit of a bummer, but then, as you said, you could go to a regular town and end up finding double figures of it. Imagine if there was a, 'hard mode', in this game where there's a finite number of such items and that, once you've found the ones in the towns, that's it. In which case, you'd have to be super careful about what you made. As it is, though, it's not something you have to worry too much about. Like you, I tend to lose interest in wanting to loot more than about 3 of those apartment blocks. The traditional towns seem to take a shorter time to do and yield a lot more in the process. Having to go through so many apartments within one block gets a bit tiresome, after a while.
Hold Your Own was an awesome game.. ì got it when you started playing.. I loved it up until the map/car update.. I loved the boat and the islands.. It was picked up by another developer. Unfortunately, he was unable to fix the game to where it was viable..
Tell the Dev. ~Make all items available for purchase from the trader, for a reasonable fee. ~(Electrical parts sell for 3.00, so purchase cost should be around 3.50. + Wool sells for 1.00, so make it cost 1.25 or 1.50 ...or something). Have a clause that requires you to sell the items to the trader first. So in order to purchase electrical parts, you have to sell at least 1 to the trader first. Wool is one of the most elusive and random items, so... unless there's a better way to get wool, like maybe adding sheep to the barn...?! Lucky Raider perk could also add the chance of finding coins. (Same as Strength perk should add ability to carry a 4th log.) Could really do with some more cave locations. South-West and North-East. Would really open up the build location options. Maybe a desert area somewhere along the (northern) shoreline too. Coffee could give you (up to) a 25% increase in stamina while active, but you get a permanent 50% from the trader. ~I suppose the Dev's concern would be for players to no longer want or need the purchase upgrade which costs 3 arms and an assortment of legs. (Stamina perk could also stop you from only ultra-slow walking whilst carrying animals/Mike. ~Sprinting could let you walk at normal speed ...and drain stamina as normal.)
maybe we need a hardwere store full of respawnable items we can dismantle for electrical/mechanical parts + a few other materials... would be better than rng loot
Arnold is almost 80 😁
Kage, I've just visited the future Kage, and he's not pleased with you passing problems onto him. 👽

I honestly like when you show some of all the different things needed to do
Think about putting glass directly above your glass floor so you can see all the way through to the road from your top floor 😊
Running over the vambies is just too much fun.

Love the video! a four story base? Of course!

Oh and traps good old fashioned animal traps. Maybe locked behind Tek or a trader only perk.

Sell anything you don't need it all adds up
Kage: “is this a Gel?”
Me: “a gel?????”
Then I saw the bars and realised he meant a jail😂
In the UK I pronounce it “jay-ul”😂😂
Yer making me wanna play this game again... but I have like 5 others on my list I still wanna play! Good problem to have.
In the kitchens you might get tins for making your own tinned food
Greetings. If you put an arch in the dividing wall of your storage building you would save a lot of time not running around the end and jumping over the crates piled in front of the forges.
You can always make two garages, one for the atv and one for the truck
Lol "im not comming back to this town" i admit iv only been watchin kage for like a year but something tells me hell be back just to see if it was a case of bad luck

I looted a sofa y/day. Found the remote control for my TV, $6 and a chocolate bar :)

Agreed, it's all chance. I got 16 electrical just from the first street.
Watching looting is god aweful boring in my opinion, but when you do it like this and split it up with building it works!
Not gonna lie I skip all the looting. Only watched 50% of this episode.
Hey.. Round is still a shape. :D

KAGE Bellwright is getting an update you can build roads
Hold Your Own was an awesome game.. ì got it when you started playing.. I loved it up until the map/car update.. I loved the boat and the islands.. It was picked up by another developer. Unfortunately, he was unable to fix the game to where it was viable..
Apartments loot update: Instead of a 1 in 2 chance for loot, you have a 2 in 3 chance.
Hey Kage how about a mini map only while driving? with the vehicle handling, looking at the map is a pain.
hello kage, I don't have the ATV trailer at the location where you found it, do you have any idea where I can find it?
The enemies in this game seem inconsequential, unlike 7 Days to die where there’s a large variety of them and their difficulty scales with your level.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is actually 77 years old!
Did anyone notice the bird dropping at 4:15 ? Just curious
You mean 4:13 - the bird already fell by 4:14, so 4:15 wouldn’t be a good time stamp.
Skipping loot is stupid you can always take it to the Trader for money
Maybe next time
Is there an actual end .game to this? If not what's the point. Once you get all the tech not sure why you would play it.
Y not move log holders to the roof so he can fill them an u can take less trips
As he runs past every trash can and mail box 🙄
should have build on a straight road, imo

Take advantage of your millionaire squatters rights. Make two garages. Your compound is impressive 😎😎
Makr another Garage for the ATV on the opposite side for Semitry and estatics.
maybe we need a hardwere store full of respawnable items we can dismantle for electrical/mechanical parts + a few other materials... would be better than rng loot
Please don’t sell the part u need to make power cuz u can’t make them
