I have an EastOak table top pit (same size as the Mesa XL). I have come to the conclusion these small table top pits are a pain to keep a nice flame going. They burn good for about 5-10 minutes and then a much smaller flame for about 30 more minutes. If you want to keep a nice flame you need to constantly be adding wood. I think I'm going to go with a Solo Stove Ranger next as a good small pellet burner.
Not bad. My buddy had an auger system that fed wood pellets into his wood heater. He would use corn when he couldn't get pellets. Of course it has a glass door on it. Deer corn will pop and could set your deck on fire. Proceed with caution but, you must try it.
So I’m just going to presume you could use any brand pellets and fire starter? I bought a 2 pack of these at Costco and used wet leaves, vines, broken up ranges to start the fire, and eventually ended up adding wet wood, and it burned it all like a champ, leaving only ash residue.
They seemed to die out quick even know there was a base of them. The flame would just stop. Have to mix them up. I will probably always use a combo of pellets and wood to keep flame going.
That was the most useless review I’ve watched. You had no starting times. You had no idea on heat differences. Everything you said was I don’t know. That was the only proven fact that came out of your mouth
40 lb of pellets $7.00 at Tractor Supply.
Good stuff. Would recommend to mix with wood as well. Will burn cleaner. Cheers
6 bucks in alabama Tractor supply. I bought 10 bags 😅😅
I was hoping to see how the pellets alone performed.
They are ok. Seem to lose flame quicker by themselves. Seems to snuff out after a bit as bottom builds up
@@ToddTheGunGuy gotcha, thanks! 👍🏻
Nice to see it works
Thx

No kidding. That would be cool
@@ToddTheGunGuy Even though corn is high....it is way cheaper than wood pellets.
Nice test!
Thx James

That is correct.
Looks pretty cool.
Is a cool gadget
Thanks for the video ! Does Solo Stoves provide some sort of pot stand for the top of stove ?
I don’t think for the small ones but not for sure. Larger ones yes
@@ToddTheGunGuy Seems to me that is a oversight by Solo Stoves and or a design flaw with the small Solo stove.
@@robbyk3249 could agree there
I’d be curious how long those wood pellets alone would burn. Cool little stove Todd.

Not bad for a small little fire. U could put that on a table and sit around it for a nice night
Doing it right now🔥🔥
Fantastic, great idea👍🏼🇺🇸🍻
Is a cool set up
Very cool my friend
Thx
nice brother !!!
Thx. Have a great weekend
I take it those pellets would not be good for a smoker
Happy Easter
No Sir. Same to you
