- Today's daily update video from South Africa is from 28 September 2024. In this video, we start with fire trucks on a scene in Pretoria, South Africa, today. Heavy traffic on the N12 past Delmas. It rained this morning in Upington, and slow rain during the day. We visit the 360 cinema in Skukuza Rest Camp in Kruger National Park. Then, camp at Jakkels & Rooikat se Gat in Albertinia. Stand on the Kleinmond Harbour looking at the waves. Windy day on the beach at Cape Vidal in St Lucia. We stop for lunch at Bains Bench Eatery and Bar outside the ti George. We stop at the Long Tom canon on the Long Tom Pass on R37 between Lydenburg and Nelspruit, and we will visit several more places across South Africa.

This afternoon, a cold front, aided by an upper-air trough, is set to sweep into the Western Cape Province. Expect widespread showers along with chilly and windy conditions in the southwest, while the western and central interior will experience scattered showers and the possibility of thundershowers. Expect some scorching temperatures in Limpopo Province and Mpumalanga Province today, particularly tomorrow. However, a refreshing change is coming as cooler weather will start moving into eastern South Africa from Monday. Expect some light snow on Monday, particularly in the elevated regions of the Cape Provinces, the southern Drakensberg, Lesotho, and the southern interior of KwaZulu-Natal Province.
