@gatorade gatarade i would just look up swim clubs in your area. if your not a competitive swimmer I suggest first going to a normal team where you train only a few hours a week. Than you can start finding clubs because they are usually very tough. For instance I train 2 hours a day. You can go on google and type “swim clubs near me” 🙂

Lol-just came across your channel and I’m laughing so hard. My daughter (12) swims and I now have Signature Status with Chick-fil-A 🤣🤣 Sometimes I drive across town to go to different locations because I’m afraid the staff is going to think we have a serious problem. Well, maybe we do. 🐔
I was a swimmer. I practiced a lot, but I didn’t care about winning. That’s all that the coaches wanted. I loved everyone I swam with, and I loved the sport. I loved most of the coaches. I just didn’t like what it turned into. It was just countless hours of getting pushed hard to the point that I became way to thin, getting out of the pool and almost falling back in from dizziness, and puking in the bathroom. I told people that it was because of my tailbone, I had been struggling with sitting, the entire year that swimming started getting intense. I still talk to some of my old teammates. I miss it sometimes because I was in a Spanish with the same girl that I swam with all the time. I quit multiple times throughout the years that I swam I’m debating going back.
I’m so sorry to hear about the difficulties you faced with swimming but love that you enjoyed the sport itself and were not only focused on winning like a lot of people can be. ❤️
i had a pretty gnarly leg injury last year and it rendered me unable to play soccer & rugby at a competitive level. so, i’m going out on a limb and joining my highschool swim team. i have no experience in competitive swimming! do you have any tips??? anything you wish you knew before you started?? i would love some advice
I would say that it may feel very difficult in the beginning but if you stay committed it will get better! Also try and make friends so going to practice is something you can look forward to! Good luck 😊 You got this!!!
I have been swimming for 4 years and i start again in my summer League in 2 weeks so yay and also swim meets are very stress full i HATE them what are your feelings about them what prepares you and also you seem so relaxed and im way crazy out of swim shape like a years ago before Quarantine my shoulders and legs where so brooder and now i am a noodle again.
I feel like meets definitely used to stress me out a ton because I put so much pressure on myself to perform well but now I just focus on having fun at the meet and typically when I’m in a happy mood I swim fast so it helps to distract yourself by talking to people or cheer your teammates on!
@@alexboynton yeah I really don't know why I stress so much about it I do enjoy it most of the time and this up coming meet I am definitely going to try and relax and have fun and gorl you give the best advise everrrrrr thank youuuu
Hi TH-cam! I need advice. So I quit competitive swim about a year ago because the competition was too much. I love swimming it makes me so happy but I am afraid if I go back I won’t be as fast. Not trying to be rude or brag but my coaches always thought I was number 1 they would always put me in front, I know if I go back I may be last really slow I think they’re gonna judge me and not want me back. And it’s been about a year since I have swam on the team. I am not going back to competition swimming but should I go back?? Help!! And if anyone sees this thank u so much ❤️❤️🥺
Hi! I know how it feels to have a lot of pressure coming from what coaches will think and honestly you just have to tell yourself that their opinion does not define you. Sometimes coaches feel as though swimming is our entire life when it is really only a part of it so they are quick to judge us. If you feel that going back will make you happy then go for it! Don’t let unnecessary judgment from others hold you back! Recently I’ve found that the sport is much more enjoyable and less stressful when I don’t put pressure on myself to produce certain results like when I was focused on meets and constantly trying to improve. Don’t worry about not being as fast as before just enjoy the reward of knowing you pushed yourself and worked hard. Think about your effort rather than the results because that is the only thing you can control. Also just have fun! I really hope this was helpful if you ever need any more advice feel free to comment or DM me on my insta! 😉
I’m a swimmer. And my best strokes are breastroke and Freestyle. I always feel so exhausted when we do doubles too. But there was this one time we did triples and I was so tired 😅
400 IM Breast/Back is my favourite/best and I'm a distance Also 200 free just screws with me. Like how???? It too short to properly pace yourself, and its too long to fully sprint.
I have to really work on my legs. My legs are strong, but I always forget to actually kick. I definitely start pulling harder and truly kicking on the last 50/25.
Idk much about swimming and I want to be in swimming in hs. I have some questions. Do your swimsuits have padding? Also what are some tips you have if there are any. Thanks love your videos 😀
The suits I wear don’t have padding. My tips would be to be persistent and stay committed bc it will be hard at times but the sport is very rewarding and also try to bond with your teammates!
Go for it! Swimming can be difficult at times but don’t get discouraged. Try and find enjoyment in spending time with teammates and have fun. It can be a big time commitment but it’s an incredible workout and has made me a better person!
If you ever see this comment , can you please give me some tips I am a 11 year old swimmer and I love to swim I have did like the little programs and stuff , but this year I am doing competitive. So do you have any tips?
Don’t get discouraged if you don’t perform as well as you hoped you would. At times, swimming can be a very frustrating sport because you can put in a lot of work and get little in return but it can also be very rewarding when you do well! Try your best even when it gets tough but also have fun and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. You got this!! :)

I love swim and have been doing it for a while my favorite stroke so butterfly!
bro butterfly is so hard to do for me 😭
i had a pretty gnarly leg injury last year and it rendered me unable to play soccer & rugby at a competitive level. so, i’m going out on a limb and joining my highschool swim team. i have no experience in competitive swimming! do you have any tips??? anything you wish you knew before you started?? i would love some advice
I would say that it may feel very difficult in the beginning but if you stay committed it will get better! Also try and make friends so going to practice is something you can look forward to! Good luck 😊 You got this!!!

My favorite stroke and event is the 100 meter fly!
Pup looks so annoyed in the morning. lool
I really really want to swim but in the Netherlands the pools are closed :(
aww I hope the pools open soon for you! 🙏🏻
My favorite stroke used to be back but lately alot of water has been going up my nose and its so painful 😁😁😁
My favourite style is backstroke, but i have heard many negative comments about it and idek why 😂
my fav stroke is fly and I love the 100 fly for some odd reason but I'm starting to have back problems sooo....
@@alexboynton thank u so much!
I'm starting on the swim team in ending of April and I'm scared and wondering whats going to happen can somebody tell me please?
ALSO NEW SUBSCRIBER
So excited for you! Don’t worry you’re going to do great! So happy you’ve joined the channel 😘
Alex Boynton OMG YOU RESPONDED EEEEEEE oh and btw YOUR DOG IS SO CUTE 😲
I'm a swimmer!! My fav stroke is fly and I love the 100 fly, but I love free too!!
I’m a swimmer.
And my best strokes are breastroke and Freestyle.
I always feel so exhausted when we do doubles too. But there was this one time we did triples and I was so tired 😅
I’m a senior this year and I mainly swim the 100 fly and the 200 IM.
Gurl bye I’m 12 and I have to swim that 😭 tbh with u I just wanna quit
400 IM
Breast/Back is my favourite/best and I'm a distance
Also 200 free just screws with me. Like how???? It too short to properly pace yourself, and its too long to fully sprint.
yeah 200 free is tricky I like to build my legs each 50 but it’s tough
I have to really work on my legs. My legs are strong, but I always forget to actually kick. I definitely start pulling harder and truly kicking on the last 50/25.
As a swimmer I’m jealous of the 7h45 practice time
This was over the summer during the school year it was much earlier
My fav event is the 200 medley relay :)
My fav stroke is back or fly
Idk much about swimming and I want to be in swimming in hs. I have some questions. Do your swimsuits have padding? Also what are some tips you have if there are any. Thanks love your videos 😀
The suits I wear don’t have padding. My tips would be to be persistent and stay committed bc it will be hard at times but the sport is very rewarding and also try to bond with your teammates!
@@alexboynton omg thank you for the advice 🙏 💖!
You got the goggle tan I see. Can't wait for that in the summer haha
My favorite events are the 100 breaststroke and the 200IM and the 200 medley relay. My favorite strokes are breaststroke and backstroke
You’re so lucky you get to swim at 7:45! I’ve gotta wake up at 4:30 in England 😂
Haha that was over the summer I had to get up at 4:20 this morning
Hi I'm thinking of joining a swim team any tips for doing so?
Go for it! Swimming can be difficult at times but don’t get discouraged. Try and find enjoyment in spending time with teammates and have fun. It can be a big time commitment but it’s an incredible workout and has made me a better person!
@@alexboynton thanks!
my favorite events are the 400 im, 200 breast, and 200 fly :)
My favorite event is the medley relay 😂
lol it's so fun
If you ever see this comment , can you please give me some tips I am a 11 year old swimmer and I love to swim I have did like the little programs and stuff , but this year I am doing competitive. So do you have any tips?
Don’t get discouraged if you don’t perform as well as you hoped you would. At times, swimming can be a very frustrating sport because you can put in a lot of work and get little in return but it can also be very rewarding when you do well! Try your best even when it gets tough but also have fun and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. You got this!! :)
i miss swimming classes your lucky bc u still have swimming classes
My first 100 fly was my first meet of the new season, and I made it to finals.
Hey um I want to be a swimmer what do I do?
i have a comp meet this saturday. i’m swimming the 200 medley, 50 free, 200 free and 100 free. it’s gonna be rough but i hope all goes well and my goggles don’t fly off when i dive in like they did last meet. i had to swim with my eyes open underwater with my goggles dangling around my neck lmaoo
Ahhh that’s the worst when your goggles come off. Good luck! :)
do you put your goggles under your cap or put them in between to caps? that happened to me on one of my meets and I just started doing that.
@@funnyvines4752 i put them under my cap. my coaches and I kinda experimented with it outside and inside the cap. I bought 3 new ones all differnt brands and spent time adjusting the nose pieces. I have my meet at 5 pm today so i hope all goes well
@@morganfowle3946 Ohhh cool, also if you still dont think its fine, when you put your goggles under your cap, before you swim put a little bit of your cap over you goggles.. idk if that made sense but like cover like the first 1/6 of you goggles with your cap so you can see but it reassures you that its not gonna fall off :) GOOD LUCK!!
@@funnyvines4752 thank you! i appreciate it!
I’m a competitive swimmer and like that’s literally my routine although. I do painful morning at like 5 am 😢😢😢
I am a 11 year old swimmer and my favorite stroke is fly, ik that’s weird. I go a 1:05 mid on the 100
