  • Here's all you need to know about how to use the metro in South Korea. The video was filmed in Busan, but the system is the same in Seoul. I'll film a video with some additional information about Seoul when I return next month. It has been an age since I created a informational video so I hope I captured everything you need to know.
Ask any questions in the comments and I will jump on and respond. What's important to get across that I didn't mention in the video is that the metro is cheap, clean, safe and very reliable. Be ready for lots and lots of stairs because the stations are quite deep and many of them do not have escalators.
    Useful apps:
Naver App (for maps - includes walking directions which Google Maps doesn't)
KakaoMetro (for metro directions an metro line maps)
Both of these are available on the Google and Apple app stores.

Way too many times, Stewart 🤣 The transfer stations can be a little confusing too.

Just used Busan-Gimhae light rail system. Purchasing the token(s) for your travel is intuitive and easy on the station kiosk with English options. Frequent use probably favors the TMoney card (or souvenir if u keep the card) i believe minimum fare is now 1400 won. And the stations are still immaculate and polished.

Thank you so much! This video is the answer I have been looking around. Many recommend to use Cashbee, but I don't think it is necessary as I will already purchase T-Money card. Btw, could the T-money be used for Busan local bus?

Yes, it’s my understanding that the t-money card can also be used on the buses.

Hi Darren! Nice video Darren and Korea looks personable and an attractive place to go to. How well off are travellers for toilet convenience's, in the station and about the main streets? 💚 🚻.
