BHU is my Alma mater. In 2016, BHU completed century and at the same year, I received PhD. Happy to be part of BHU parvaar. This documentary is awesome and each word is like a real drop of nectar.
Excellent video. I visited BHU very few times when I was in Varanasi and I always felt good but by watching this video it gives total glimpse and vision of then legends and various fields BHU has excelled. My last visit was on 11th August 2024. A small suggestions. 1) You have shown the photograph of Dr. Jayant Rao Narlikar at the end who is a legend in physics but there was no mention of his father Dr. V. V. Narlikar who was HOD of Mathematics for decades and then Vice Chanceller of University and was specially invited none other than Shri. Madan Mohan Malviya ji. In fact Dr. Jayant Rao Narlikar and his younger brother who is also a legend in Astrophysics both had their childhood & education in BHU. Another suggestion is BHU should start the degree course in Valuation in the fields of 1) Land and Building 2) Plant and Machinery 3) Financial assets. Presently these courses are only at very few universities like A) Anna Malai at Chennai B) Kolhapur University at Maharashtra C) Sardar Patel University at Vallabh Vidya Nagar, Anad in Gujarat. There is a huge requirement of valuers in India whereas supply was hardly anything.
India will forever remain indebted to Malaviyaji for his visionary leadership in the field of education and his selfless dedication to the cause of establishing one of the oldest universities of India.
No one talks about the Bhumihar king of Varanasi who gave 3 km of his land for free for building this large university .Great donation by Kashinaresh !
