- Snow is fascinating. While it looks pure and beautiful, you get to experience its true nature in the harshest of environments. Hence, most of your holidays will never be curated around this captivating solid. But, once you get a taste of its beauty, you will go through fire and water to experience it again.
Mahindra Adventure invited us for its “Snow Escape” 2023 expedition which started in Chandigarh, took us to Kaza and back in seven days. This convoy of Scorpio N and Thars was being led by the legendary Hari Singh, the five times INRC champion and someone we could blindly trust to drive us into, and out of, icy situations.

Coming back to video, I am sure you guys had fun. The drive/getting stuck in snow, well that's all part of offroading, I understand. This brings me to the whole Jimny ad fiasco. MS was roasted/broasted/chewed and spitted out for driving a Jimny in the same area, in a river. People called them names, authorities were blamed and all that, so much so that they have to move the launch location itself. But here M&M is seen doing the same, even driving in river and I am sure it happens on almost every trip. So why this partiality? was the whole fiasco a conspiracy (oh oh oh.. we all love conspiracies no?) to malign MS and Jimny?
Anyways I think, treading the fine line of having fun and respecting nature, especially in a delicate ecosystem like Ladakh, is something very important and something we must all strive to do. (P.S. This is a general observation in views hungry influencers age, where people stoop down to any level for views. This as NOTHING to do with Zigwheels. You are the good peoples 😁)
I am glad you guys had fun. Just a question, if someone has to say join M&M on such an adventure, aside from a vehicle and fuel, how much could it cost them?

Wandering off the road needs local permissions, which we had. Brands don't (usually) do so without local support and legal permissions. While I am aware of the incident you are talking about, I'm not sure what the legalities were. As for public sentiment, that is a more fragile topic. 😅
Mahindra Adventure trips vary widely on cost depending on the one you pick. All details, including costs, are available on their website.
Also, the vehicle, backup, stay and food is part of the package. Fuel is taken care of by the participants.

Capable in slippery conditions. However, we did not take it in the snow.

Around two full tanks
I have done cycling in this road, never wanted to see an ICE, especially diesel... Manhandra makes too much of Noice and pollution.

The new Mahendras, though, are much quiter and the BS6 emissions norms have reduced the tailpipe emissions too.
