I have 35% of my capital investments in an IRA, 25% in index funds, and the balance spread across other investment accts totalling over $250k. I took a big hit in Q2, 2023. Right now i am just looking for ways to recover in 2024.

Hi!! I am understanding everything pretty well but have one question. When you go to purchase the Fidelty 500 Index Fund it says that it is $130.52. What is this price indicating? I see that you use $100 to invest in it, but how does it work if the index fund costs more than that? Also, with the cash you have "available to trade" that is coming from your Roth IRA, is this because you had that amount in your account, or because this is the interest that you have from that account? I’m a little confused on that because I understand how Roths and index funds work separately, but I’m not sure how they work together. Thank you so much for making these videos!
Wow that means so much to me you have no idea. I’m so happy to hear that, thank you! And with index funds in a Roth IRA reinvesting your dividends is optimally to have additional compounding on your investments. If you decide to not reinvest then you will be having cash sit in the account until you take further action. When it says “Reinvest in securities” for that particular index fund under the dividends page, does that mean it will reinvest it into that particular index fund?
Hey great question! That just means that it is reinvesting back into the same security that is mentioned. So SP500 reinvest in security, would mean dividends are being reinvested back into that exact investment, SP 500 fund. Hope this helps, thanks for watching my content!

Annualized average return has been 10-15% per annum, so being conservative pays really well. Try buying the FXAIX which is a mirror fund of S&P 500 with a much lower expense ratio
I can not say exactly since it depends on ones own position but I believe whatever makes you most satisfied to have long term and not change thereafter is best. If you do the sp500 only, realize that there are additional stocks like small and mid cap out there to help gain exposure for your portfolio. Overall, I think allocating in multiple areas is the best for an overall portfolio. I hope this helps! Thanks for following my channel :)

My portfolio is drastically declining, I've lost roughly $320k in a short period of time, and I no longer feel secure in choosing stocks. Do I truly have no alternative ways to profit from the stock market?
It's really hard to beat the market as a mere investor. It's just better if you invest with the help of a professional understands the market dynamics better.
@@roseroland1998 Very true. Despite having no prior investing knowledge, I started investing before the pandemic and pulled in a profit of approximately $950k that same year. In reality, all I was doing was getting professional advice.
@lloydbernard5847 There are a lot of independent advisors you might look into. But i work with Stacie Kristal Weber, and she is excellent. You could proceed with her if she satisfies your discretion. I endorse her
Also, when in 30 years you want to take that money out, hows does that work? You gotta sell it and have it sent to your bank account or how does that work?
When do we know when to "sell" it, or do you just always keep the money in the fund? And second question I had was that I just made my account and im trying to do what you are doing at 12:30 with the capital gains and dividends, and nothing is showing up, I don't know if its because my account is new and/or the market is closed.
Hey! Great questions, so you don't ever have to sell until you want to with these funds. It's all under your control. In regards to capital gains and dividends, this may be because your account is new? I have not had this issue, maybe keep checking in on it and see if it comes up. Are you on the computer platform?
This is a great video! I was wondering if you have a video already explaining how to set up a Roth IRA account and explaining how it works, and how beneficial it is as well. Hey! Thank you for your kind words! I actually have created a video I believe covers everything you are asking about Roth IRA’s. HSA’s differ from Roth IRA’s and I was actually thinking to make an HSA video as one of my next posts. I will try to work on that for you. Both great resources to take advantage of! One way to get to the setting is when you are under account positions > more > manage cash > transfer money > manage automatic transfers. Hope this helps!
yes you can set it up where it automatically pulls from your bank account and invests into a specific investment automatically for you! Pretty convenient and assuring to have.
Hi! Thank you very much. And for investing, there are many factors so it' hard to say and it comes down to a personal choice and risk tolerance. If I were retired relying on the portfolio I would diversify and aim to reduce significant risk.
Thank you so much! And no unfortunately it has to be either reinvested in the same security, directly deposited to the core account, or directly to another index mutual fund from Fidelity. If you're curious, you can see this by going to manage dividends on the positions page and scroll into the investments such as FXAIX and look at the opportunities for the distributions and where they can be directed.
Hey! I highly recommend you check out the video I made on the Fidelity Roth IRA. I think you may find a lot of value from it. And thanks for watching! th-cam.com/video/jH1rJa4RRp8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zjCVSGNTdE3KnWOy
Hello, i have a question. So i just started deposit in the FXAIX in fidelity for $200. I was wondering how much i need to deposit in? Like 200 every week or month?
Thank you! And that's a personal preference. I personally love index funds because of the diversification of historical results they have proven to achieve though.
Great question! So you can start with a typical brokerage account at the age of 18. If you are younger than that, you'll have to start a custodial account and have a parent or legal guardian sign off. Roth IRA is 18 but you can earlier as well. And the decision depends on your own situation, and what you have going on! A typical brokerage account is the standard for a regular investing though. Thank you four your kind words, i really appreciate it!

12:16 to revisit when I get back home, instructions on telling Fidelity how to reinvest mutual fund dividends & Capital Gains
Great section to point out, nice!
Is there an option in Fidelity to pick specific stock to make my own ETF instead of buying one of the existing options you mentioned
Thank you sir for simplifying things you are a great teacher. I will continue to follow and learn and build wealth.
Thank you so much! That means so much to me seriously! I will continue to do my best as far as content and helping others learn and gain the knowledge to build strong wealth!
How do I add the 401 k to Fidelity please
Hi, I just transferred more money to the account. How do I buy additional shares of a index fund I already own?
Hi there! I'm happy to hear that. You can search in the top right of the website platform the specific index fund you want and you can select how much you want to buy. Or you can select the index fund you already own under the positions tab on the platform and select the buy button to fill out how much you want as well. Hope this helps :)
@@DannySully much appreciated!
Thanks, just starting to invest in stocks and bonds this video gave me the clarity I needed.
I'm glad to hear that! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for that fidelity usage tutorial. Just started investing via fidelity and was lost in their UI
Of course! I'm glad to hear it is helping :)
Thank you for the detailed video and explaining the concepts very well with the added benefit of providing clear advice on how to approach our investments. I’ve watching similar investments videos and they explain it but never really advise how to approach it like you have. Great job!!
The financial markets are full of opportunities, but I’ve learned a lot over the past few years. The key is knowing where to focus and also having a good mentor. like mrs ann fiocca.

Thank you so much!! :)
The best video ever. Straight to the point and no BS. Thank you !!
That means a lot to hear that, thank you very much!!
Thanks for clearing up the whole process. This is reassuring as I start my investment journey!
Thank you! I’m glad to hear that!!
After viewing this video, I feel confident investing in index funds ( fidelity) instead of having my monies stagnant in my account during absolutely nothing for me. Thank you for the layman explanation
I'm glad to hear that, thank you!!
This is so helpful. Exactly what I needed. Thanks. This is so helpful. Exactly what I needed. Thanks.
I'm glad to hear that, thank you!
Are there bond index funds
Yes there are!
So if I have a 57 how would I allocate that in percentage to the top 6
You recommend doing all.of these 6 at the same time?
I'm sorry I can not recommend you do anything specifically, it is just a generic guide for better understanding. I think you will find this video (link below) to be a much easier and better way to start if you are new.

Can you make a video about exchanging funds in fidelity? Example Instead of selling just exchange, pro and cont ,, thanks a lot for your videos
My next video is going to be a complete tutorial on how to use fidelity. I hope that includes what you are mentioning exactly. If you plan to exchange a lot, etfs may be the better option since you don’t have to wait as long to buy/sell.
thank you! Easy to understand, great visuals, and appreciate the comedy!
Of course! Thank you for your words, I appreciate that and am glad to hear that!
I am 37 years old and feel like I am way behind, however watching this video gives me some guidance.
Clean, informative and straightforward.
Keep it up!
You are definitely not behind! You have so much ahead of you! Start now and keep up with it. And thank you for your words, I really appreciate that.
@@DannySully Just opened my fidelity account and transferred some money.
I will start investing soon. Gonna watch this video a few more times to understand better.
Thanks again.

Put money aside every time you get paid. It’s not much in the begging but over time things add up.
I use Fidelity. This is very informative. Thank you.
Great! And thank you so much!
Would it be silly to only have investment in the S&P 500 and to keep putting all your money invested into that? If you can’t tell, I’m risk averse.
Annualized average return has been 10-15% per annum, so being conservative pays really well. Try buying the FXAIX which is a mirror fund of S&P 500 with a much lower expense ratio
Thank you so much for this information 🙏
Of course!!🙂
Would you recommend s&p 500 or S&P total market index ? Pros and cons?
I can not say exactly since it depends on ones own position but I believe whatever makes you most satisfied to have long term and not change thereafter is best. If you do the sp500 only, realize that there are additional stocks like small and mid cap out there to help gain exposure for your portfolio. Overall, I think allocating in multiple areas is the best for an overall portfolio. I hope this helps! Thanks for following my channel :)
I agree with everything EXCEPT for buying bonds. Absolutely zero bonds.
We have fidelity for our 401K and now will reach out to talk about my specific retirement account. I will be 56 soon and not sure how my target date looks for me to retire comfortably, especially SSI going away despite my 34+ years of work and may not be able to collect when my FTA arrives. I also started to dabble a bit using Robinhood but need to be more invested in my research in my retirement at work so this helps -Thanks!!
Of course! And that's great, I personally think Fidelity is one of the most professional ones to use and I'm happy to have my Roth with them.
Hi Danny. Do you have any video on how to rebalance a Fidelity account?
Hey! So i have not created a full video on rebalancing with Fidelity. The closet I have created is in the video I'll have linked below where I discuss a balancing overview. To skip to that particular section that is about 2-3 minutes, I have timelines in the description that will direct you straight to it. Hope this helps! Thanks for following my content :)

I learned more from this video than I ever did at my senior high school economics class.
Wowww, thank means so much to me! Thank you!!!
If only Fidelity advisor explained it this clearly 🤨
I just set up a Fidelity go account. That’s all I did.
I endorse her
😮 go index fund!
Also, when in 30 years you want to take that money out, hows does that work? You gotta sell it and have it sent to your bank account or how does that work?
Is it worth it to buy real estate portfolios on fidelity?
When do we know when to "sell" it, or do you just always keep the money in the fund? And second question I had was that I just made my account and im trying to do what you are doing at 12:30 with the capital gains and dividends, and nothing is showing up, I don't know if its because my account is new and/or the market is closed.
Hey! Great questions, so you don't ever have to sell until you want to with these funds. It's all under your control. In regards to capital gains and dividends, this may be because your account is new? I have not had this issue, maybe keep checking in on it and see if it comes up. Are you on the computer platform?
Thank you
I just subscribed. You made it easier.
Thank you so much! That means a ton to hear that! I'm glad you found it helpful!
This is brilliant. Just dipping my toes into this but this was a great help!
I’m really glad to hear that, thank you for your kind words!
Thank you for making this video.

Index funds,Etfs, REITs,whole life insurance is the way to go.
You’ve explained this so well. Thank you. I’ve already saved Fidelity 500. I will listen to your video again.
Thank you so much, I appreciate you telling me that! 👍
This is a great video! I was wondering if you have a video already explaining how to set up a Roth IRA account and explaining how it works, and how beneficial it is as well. I’ve heard it’s something important when it comes to retirement, but I’m not necessarily sure on the rules that it comes with. Another thing, what’s the difference between Roth IRA and HSA?
Below is the Roth IRA video as well, hope it helps you out :)

Hello all I’m new to this
So after I set up the funds how to I automatically send money into each fund and send it in percentages to each fund TIA
One way to get to the setting is when you are under account positions > more > manage cash > transfer money > manage automatic transfers. Hope this helps!
So once you buy the fund, you can just keep moving money into it? You don’t have to “buy” the fund again?
yes you can set it up where it automatically pulls from your bank account and invests into a specific investment automatically for you! Pretty convenient and assuring to have.
This is great information. Very detailed and well explained. Thank you so much. 🙏😊
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me!!
Your videos are excellent. How do you recommend retirees to invest on Fidelity?
Hi! Thank you very much. And for investing, there are many factors so it' hard to say and it comes down to a personal choice and risk tolerance. If I were retired relying on the portfolio I would diversify and aim to reduce significant risk.
Thank you for this video 😊
Is it possible to transfer the FXAIX earnings into a personal checking account?
Thank you so much! And no unfortunately it has to be either reinvested in the same security, directly deposited to the core account, or directly to another index mutual fund from Fidelity. If you're curious, you can see this by going to manage dividends on the positions page and scroll into the investments such as FXAIX and look at the opportunities for the distributions and where they can be directed.
Whats best account to open with fidelity for long term make sure doesn’t have account or any hidden feeses
Hey! I highly recommend you check out the video I made on the Fidelity Roth IRA. I think you may find a lot of value from it. And thanks for watching!

Hello, i have a question. So i just started deposit in the FXAIX in fidelity for $200. I was wondering how much i need to deposit in? Like 200 every week or month?
Hey! So you don’t have to put in any specific amount. You can buy whatever and however much you want.
do I need a credit card to start ?
Nope!
Do i have to buy FXAIX every time i transfer money into my roth account?
No! You get to choose when and what you invest into!
I've seen so many videos and you're the only one I understood! THANK YOU
That means so much to me, thank you!!!!
Thank you for the valuable information. If you invest dividneds into Directed are you also being taxed ?
Yes, it only changes if you have a non taxable account like Roth IRA
What is the smart man thank you ! I am learning . I’m 53 years old should I pick index fund right?
Thank you! And that's a personal preference. I personally love index funds because of the diversification of historical results they have proven to achieve though.
Newbie at investing and found your video SO helpful and easy to digest!!!! Thank you! Subscribed!
I'm glad to hear that! Thank you so much for your support!
What are the age and financial requirements to begin investing with Fidelity? And what to you recommend? Loved the video btw tysm :)
This was the video I have been searching for. You describe things so clearly and easy to understand and I can’t thank you enough!🔥

Can someone explain why in 11:38, how come under Trades the ‘Mutual Funds ‘ has to be selected? I thought FXAIX is an index Fund ?
Hey great question! So there are two types of index funds. An index mutual fund or an index etf. It can seem confusing which is why I made a video on it! Hope this helps: th-cam.com/video/_Oz_l3GQxhU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kkGEW-Vby36tEbUF

Okay not sure what I am doing wrong, when I go to trade and do mutual and look for what I want to buy when I go to purchase it showing a violation or penalty
What is the exact message? Maybe you don’t have enough funds or it’s a reminder the market is closed and it will get the next market close. Did you get this solved?
This was a great video. Im starting to invest my money (I'm in my late 30s), but lets say I'm starting with $5,000. Should i take the entire $5k and put it into the fidelity index fund, or maybe take $2500 and do the fidelity index fund and the other $2500 into the large cap index fund? Thanks
Just the video I was looking for! Can you set up to have dividend payments auto reinvest with fidelity ?
Thank you! And yes you definitely can have dividends auto reinvest
I plan to begin investing in the sp500 for my kids and I but I need a bit more clarity. After you buy the initial fund can you continue to add money to the account?
Yes, you can add money through the app and even set up auto deposits
